Plus 5 New Strong Buys for Today Stocks Up Again, New Highs For Dow, S&P, And Russell 2000 [Kevin Matras - EVP - Photo] Profit from the Pros By Kevin Matras Executive Vice President Stocks Up Again, New Highs For Dow, S&P, And Russell 2000 [Stocks Up Again, New Highs For Dow, S&P, And Russell 2000]Image: Bigstock Stocks closed higher yesterday with the Nasdaq leading the way. It should also be noted that the Dow, S&P, and small-cap Russell 2000 made new all-time highs. Even before last week's stimulus bill was passed, the Atlanta Fed was already estimating Q1 GDP to come in at 8.4%, and others were forecasting full-year GDP to grow at the fastest pace in 38 years. But now, with virus cases going down, vaccinations going up, and more and more businesses reopening, those estimates are likely to be revised sharply higher. Quite frankly, we could see a recovery like we've never seen before. I think JP Morgan Chase CEO, Jamie Dimon, said it best when commenting on the growth outlook if the stimulus bill passed (which we now know it did). He said "there's a very good chance you're going to have a gangbuster economy for the rest of this year and easily into 2022." Sounds pretty bullish to me. These are historic times for both the economy and the market. So make sure you're taking full advantage of it.
