The end of summer. The beginning of another school year. The birth month of Billy Bob Thornton. So much to talk about from the world of Wyze. Let’s jump in. Introducing: the Newsletter Deal-getter. www.wyze.com/cart/add?items%5B%5D%5Bid%5D=41955230482594&items%5B%5D%5Bquantity%5D=1&return_to=%2F%3Fdiscount%3DAUGNEWSBFFS&lid=4w6ykmrl516b Our core value at Wyze is to think of users as friends, and obviously our bestest, BFF-est friends of all are the ones who read this newsletter. This month we’re starting an exclusive new monthly feature: a 24-hour deal for newsletter subscribers only. We’re going to start simple today with a free 32GB SD card when you spend $50 at wyze.com, but look here for more deals in the months to come. [Claim Coupon: AUGNEWSBFFS](www.wyze.com/cart/add?items%5B%5D%5Bid%5D=41955230482594&items%5B%5D%5Bquantity%5D=1&return_to=%2F%3Fdiscount%3DAUGNEWSBFFS&lid=jl6ncxzmpq1r) *Must [add MicroSD Card to cart to claim](. Code expires 9/1/22 11:30pm PT. Cam Plus Pro got an update. This month, the best Wyze service got even bester. Version 2.34 released, and includes the hands-down most user-requested feature since the premium service launched last year: Alarm Delay. That’s right, if you’re afraid to activate Cam Plus Pro for fear it’ll call a SWAT team on your late night fridge raid, worry no more. (You wouldn’t need to worry about this anyway, but that’s another topic.) Alarm Delay lets you specify a period of time between the moment the camera notices suspicious activity and the moment professional monitors initiate emergency action. That will give you plenty of time to simply tap the “Cancel Alarm” button in the app while grumbling, “There’s no emergency here. Just trying to enjoy a pint of Ben & Jerry’s at 3am if that’s cool with everyone.” [Learn more about Cam Plus Pro]( [More about Alarm Delay.]( The First Annual Wyze Pixel Hunt was a rip-roaring success. The retina-roasting event known as Wyze Pixel Hunt has come and gone! Thank you to all who participated. We could have just given coupons away, but due to budget considerations we decided it was in our interest to hide them. Sadly, they were all found, and we had to lay off three people in accounting. Please take a moment to enjoy this brief retrospective. [Retrospectively Enjoy, Please]( Wyze got invited to protect sandwich meat. Friends, we have no official position on whether the tuna is real, but from now on we’re gonna make sure no one steals it. Wyze was invited this month to participate in the annual conference of the North American Association of Subway Franchisees, not just because we can replace a $2500 security system for about a hundred bucks, but because our cameras all smell like fresh-baked bread. [Shop Wyze Security Tech]( Video Doorbell Pro wins the coveted “Wired Recommends” badge. This month Wired named Video Doorbell Pro, a year after its launch, [“still the smartest and most reliable video doorbell for under $100.”]( They also called it “chunky,” which, far be it from us to judge, seems a little shaming and regressive. We’d have gone with “sturdy” and “rugged,” but we understand not everyone values feelings. [Get Wyze Video Doorbell Pro]( You can now shop for Wyze products directly on Twitter. As everyone knows, anytime you’ve worked hard on something you truly love, the safest place to put it is Twitter. That’s why we enabled social shopping this month for the buddies, the bullies, and the bots*. It’s hot tech for your hot takes, Twittezens. Have at it! [Shop Wyze on Twitter]( *Only visible on mobile devices through the Twitter app. The support site got a redesign and face lift. If you’ve been to the Wyze Support site recently, you’ve noticed that the thing is now so beautiful you could essentially slap a frame on it and hang it on your wall. You want the place you go when you’re angry to be attractive. We hope this shows that we’re not just committed to resolving your concerns and issues, but to making it an aesthetically pleasing experience. [Check Out the New Wyze Support]( Video of the Month. The greatest moment in [this video]( is when the poor dog stops struggling and quietly accepts his fate. We couldn’t decide what best expressed his body language, but here are some possibilities: - “Hello, Darkness, my old friend.” - “If I can’t see anyone, does that mean no one can see me?” - "I could really go for some thumbs." - “I deserve this.” Video of the Month II. Also an interesting video out of Colorado this month of a bear trying to sell solar panels to a pomeranian. DI-Wyze of the Month. A Reddit user designed and 3D printed this ingenious crib mount that turns their Wyze Cam into a near-cordless baby cam. Perfectly situated to keep tabs on the baby while she’s small, and perfectly teed up for whenever she decides to rip it off the side of the crib. From #All-Team. This month Dongsheng, Wyze founder and head of the Product Team, shared his ten-year-old son’s intricate concept review and technical drawings for a new Wyze Air Freshener. This thing looks amazing. Runs on two AA batteries and has a vacuum “for taking in air.” Available scents will apparently include lavender, vanilla, watermelon, apple, and “herbs.” Wyze is hiring! [Learn More]( Wyze is hiring. We’d love for you to join our team. For those interested, Team Wyze is holding a[live recruiting event on Thursday, September 15th]( from 3-4pm, follow us on LinkedIn to stay up to date on more details coming soon. If you’re an overachiever, you can watch a recording of our Team Wyze August event [here](. [See the Openings!]( Employee Spotlight And finally, please take a moment to get to know Keith Ho, our Senior Principal Architect on the Engineering Team, and this month’s employee spotlight. [Meet Keith]( That’ll do it for August, friends! Enjoy Labor Day and those last, precious bits of summer. We’ll see you all again in a month.
