Here's what happened this month. [Wyze]( Hey Friends, Some exciting happenings in the World of Wyze this month. Here’s the rundown. Wyze Sense Now Sensing More Senses! [Wyze Leak Sensor senses a problem.]( Wyze Leak and Climate sensors are joining our Wyze Sense Home Monitoring lineup! Not only can you keep tabs on the temperature and humidity of any room, but your system will now detect water leaks before they cause serious damage. [Wyze Sense Leak Sensor]( [Wyze Sense Climate Sensor]( Wyze Home Monitoring has now officially conquered three of the five senses. We will not rest until we can help you track your home’s tastes and smells as well. [Get Wyze Home Monitoring]( Cam Plus Has Pet Detection! Big news! With Pet Detection, your Wyze Cam can now tell the difference between a human, an animal, and a cardboard box. And if you don’t think that’s impressive, why don’t you take a quick glance at this picture and tell us which ones you’d like to eat for breakfast: [Dog or Muffin?]( [Get Cam Plus]( This is a newly released model and, like the Wyze AI models for Person, Vehicle, and Package detection, expect this to get more accurate as time goes on. Thank you to all the wonderful Wyze users who have sent images, sounds, and footage to help speed this process along! Keep them coming! Mr. Vlogger’s Neighborhood Check out this new video from our co-founder, Dave Crosby (better known to the world as “Claire’s dad”), as he highlights the simplicity and power of Wyze Home Monitoring in his own home. Spoiler alert: This video has a Karen in it. BUT in a crazy twist you’ll never see coming, it’s the Karen who is just trying to do her job and go about her day, while Dave is the one wasting everyone’s time with a fake emergency. [A tour of our cofounder's Wyze Home Monitoring system - with Dave Crosby]( You and Your Wyze Cam Can Now Sign a Prenup Great news for bet-hedgers everywhere! In addition to our already-awesome one year warranty, we’ll be offering accident protection on Wyze products starting in the next few days, thanks to the fine folks at Extend. Here’s a screenshot of the extended coverage options as they’ll soon appear on our product pages. [Extend Warranty] [Extend Warranty] DI-Wyze: Critter Edition! [Coming soon to PetSmart.] Coming soon to PetSmart. Tough call for our favorite DI-Wyze of the Month this go round. On the one hand, you’ve got [LifeHackster geniously rigging together a bunch of Wyze tech]( to trap the perfidious possum ravaging his sweet peppers. On the other, u/RocketPuff is over on Reddit, [teaching people how to turn their Wyze Cam into a Laser Turret Cat Toy](. We’re giving the edge to LifeHackster, mostly for not being named “RocketPuff.” It’s just too bad these guys aren’t next door neighbors, though, so they could solve each other’s problems. Vacuum Wrapped! Outstanding photograph from Jeff Wrightsman [over on Facebook]( of his Wyze Robot Vacuum, Marvin, who got a hold of a dangling toilet paper roll and meticulously mummified himself. [Me getting ready to use a public restroom.] Me getting ready to use a public restroom. Obviously the real question here is whether Marvin wrapped himself over or under. [Get Wyze Robot Vacuum]( If Alfred Hitchcock Designed Home Monitoring [If Alfred Hitchcock Designed Home Monitoring #CapturedOnWyzeCam]( [Also on Facebook](, Rick Kortsmit is apparently relying, for home security, on a bird who can’t even tell the difference between a porch pirate and a delivery dude. Look, we’re not saying an attack robin isn’t an effective deterrent. We’re just saying, a) [birds are not to be trusted](, and b) we’d be happy to protect all his stuff [for just five bucks a month](. Wyze Cam Captures Dude Stealing Wyze Cam Finally, [Kristen Nicole Sones’ shared footage]( of a thief and budding portrait photographer, who not only filmed himself stealing her Wyze Cam, but did so while observing the [rule of thirds](: [Wyze Cam Captures Dude Stealing Wyze Cam #CapturedOnWyzeCam]( Using open spacing and natural diagonal lines, the portrait draws the eye inexorably to its subject. Quick reminder to would-be camera thieves that when you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. And shoutout to Kristen and her [Cam Plus subscription](! Because if she’d relied solely on an SD card, the world would never have seen this masterpiece. Employee of the Month We have around [50 job openings at Wyze right now](. We’d love to have you apply and join the team! Check out [this month’s spotlight]( of Gwendolyn Evans, Senior Digital Community Manager at Wyze. [Employee Spotlight]( That's everything for now! Take care of yourselves, and we'll see you all next month!
