These photos, and the stories behind them, offer a personal glimpse into an overwhelming global crisis. Around the world, more than 110 million people have been uprooted from their homes due to conflict, persecution, and human rights violations. This number has more than doubled since 2012. Among the most recent crises driving this spike is the war in Ukraine, which has caused 5.9 million people to flee their homes since 2022. Additionally, ongoing and worsening crises in countries including Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, and Syria have forced millions of people to abandon everything they know in search of safety. Our hearts break for these families, especially knowing that approximately 40% of all displaced people worldwide are children. Believing that God cares deeply about the plight of displaced people, we hope this curated exhibition will raise awareness, spark conversation, and inspire action and prayer on behalf of children and families impacted by forced displacement.
