[New rule to take effect for NYC's short-term rentals]( [first image]( [Today's newsletter curated by Emily Nadal]( Weather: âï¸ Lest we not forget Labor Day is actually not the end of the summer, and today's weather is proving that with a high of 92 degrees. Welcome back from a three-day weekend this Tuesday morning in New York City where [changes to the city’s short-term rental market are set to take effect today.]( The new law requires landlords to register with the city for rentals of less than 30 days on Airbnb, Vrbo and other similar sites, and violators risk a $5,000 fine, which means thousands of listings will be nullified. That rule change will be really evident in Bed-Stuy, the NYC neighborhood with the highest concentration of listings for entire homes or apartments.
