Just go along with everything, douse yourself with hand sanitizer and otherwise hide in your home.” —Jeffrey Tucker in this week’s Wiggin Session:[The Hijacking of Science & The Plan to Control Public Opinion]( [The video]( was banned from YouTube. It was only up for three days. In January 2023, we posted a video titled The Real Anthony Fauci. In the video, we interviewed the filmmaker Jeff Hays about his documentary exposé of the same name… our conversation was long and deep and fruitful, touching on taboo topics like what it would take to plan a pandemic, characterizations of the “cartel of medicine,” and exposing the desire of the ruling elites to control public opinion—and even control your mind. While some might call these ideas conspiracy… the censorship we experienced only seemed to support the idea that there is, in fact, some sort of surveillance state operating in the higher levels of media in America—or at least someone, or some people with an agenda to uphold, a narrative to proliferate, curate, and ultimately maintain by all means necessary. Today, we give our attempts at dissent another shot. Jeffrey Tucker is a former writer of our publication the Laissez Faire Letter. He is also the economic correspondent for the Epoch Times, an ascendant publication of alternative news media. More recently, he started the Brownstone Institute, a place for “dissident writers” and, unfortunately, the subject of much bumping up against the mainstream narrative and what he calls the “censorship industrial complex.” In early 2020, or as my kids call it, “deep COVID,” Tucker published a series of editorials on a dossier published by a laundry list of high level academics called the Great Barrington Declaration. The open letter was signed by over 50 esteemed medical practitioners from institutions the world over, including Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, Oxford University, Tel Aviv University. This document didn't say anything other than everybody should just go back to normal. And if you’re vulnerable to Covid, you should be careful. That was basically the upshot of the document. “It wasn’t that big a deal,” Tucker says, “but it was like we had destroyed the beast. We didn't realize at the time, the National Security State had put a very strong parody on everybody complying with these Covid edicts.” The National Institutes of Health issued a call for a widespread, quick and devastating take down of the document. Tucker continues: I was introduced into the New World. The world of controlled information flows, orthodoxies imposed from above by the national security state, working very closely with political powers and media and social media, all to kind of curate and control the public mind. I found out about all this stuff in real time. It may be dark and cynical. I’m not the same man I used to be after watching all this whole thing unfold. It was a real revelation. Why aren't they willing to learn things? I didn't realize that there's already a narrative in place and they weren’t interested in learning broader truths. Recently, the Great Barrington Declaration has re-entered the conversation, as Robert Kennedy Jr—himself a victim of the rise of the security state—tweeted Tucker’s piece while on the road for his 2024 campaign for President. Our conviction at The Wiggin Sessions: if it's being covered in the mainstream media, it may not be worth that very much; the really important big ideas are found elsewhere. When we hit a nerve, and our readers write in with their opinions, or better yet, the censorship overlords take down our stuff, we know that our ideas are hitting on something that deserves real attention. The trick, we think, is in uncovering the truth. “I mean, am I so naive in thinking that all we had to do was bring some experts in,” Tucker concludes with incredulity, “teach the journalists some basic truths, and then they would write those truths in the newspapers? I mean, that’s what we really believed.” [You can watch the full Episode with Jeffrey Tucker by clicking here.]( [Watch the Session Now ▶]( Follow your own bliss, Addison Wiggin The Wiggin Sessions P.S.
