DeSantis asks for total control, wants 60+ women’s votes thrown out

{NAME}, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently called for a dedicated police force to “investigate election crimes and fraud,” according to the Associated Press. In reality, this force would disqualify thousands of valid votes from women over the age of 60 who rely on ballot drop-boxes. Now, CNN reports that DeSantis wants “to reestablish a World War II-era civilian military force that he, not the Pentagon, would control.” DeSantis refuses to specify what he will order the force to do aside from “emergency response,” threatening that it will be able to “mobilize very, very quickly.” Val Demings is running to oust Marco Rubio from the Senate and turn the political tide against DeSantis and the GOP's insidious authoritarianism in Florida. And today Democratic women over 60—who DeSantis is targeting because they vote in larger numbers than any other demographic in Florida—are rallying behind Val Demings' historic progressive campaign.
