{NAME}, This is a long email about the future of American Democracy. And it's important. It's absolutely crucial. A quick recap of Donald J. Trump's activities in 2021: On January 6, 2021, Donald J. Trump encouraged an angry mob of Proud Boys supporters to storm the Capitol. Then, he waited hours before authorizing the National Guard, buying the Proud Boys extra time. Trump has silenced the rare Republican who has tried -- and failed -- to stand up to him. Trump's hand-picked 2022 Senate candidates are raising millions. Like Hershel Walker running against Raphael Warnock in Georgia. Trump himself has already raised over $100 million for himself in less than a year. In short: Trump's comeback plan is working. It's working perfectly. "Biden's job performance rating is sinking like the Titanic," Trump now says. "According to the Washington Examiner, it's down to 36% - how embarrassing," Trump says. "However, this should come as no surprise to ANYONE (except maybe Joe Biden), considering the abysmal job he's done as President." Q: Is Trump planning to run again in 2024? A: Yes. In fact, Donald Trump has already begun his campaign for President in 2024. (The Washington Post reports: "Trump, talked out of announcing a 2024 bid for now, settles on a wink-and-nod unofficial candidacy.") And Donald J. Trump could win again in 2024. And Donald J. Trump could win again in 2024! DONALD. J. TRUMP. COULD. WIN. AGAIN. IN. 2024. In 2015, Donald Trump descended an elevator, called immigrants rapists (and very fine people), and then went on to defeat 16 other Republicans in the primary. And then he went on to defeat Hillary Clinton in the general election. As President, Donald J. Trump called white supremacists “very fine people.” He separated immigrant children from their families and put them in cages. He tear-gassed human beings for a photo op. He suggested injecting bleach to cure coronavirus. And he went on to very nearly win reelection on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. In 2020, Joe Biden won Arizona's 11 electoral college votes by just 0.4%. In 2020, Joe Biden won Pennsylvania's 20 electoral college votes by just 1.2%. In 2020, Joe Biden won Wisconsin's 10 electoral college votes by just 0.6%. And in 2020, Joe Biden won Georgia's 16 electoral college votes by just 0.3%. Please, we know that imagining Donald Trump as president today is a very painful experience. But it's important, because Donald J. Trump knows he very nearly won in 2020. (And he's not the kind of guy who is going to let that kind of thing go…) Had just a few more Democrats stayed home (or failed to vote by mail), then Donald Trump would be president today. Had Donald Trump successfully suppressed just a few more Democratic votes in 2020, then Donald Trump would be president today. A few more votes that just didn't arrive by mail, and Donald J. Trump is president today. (Trump mega-bundler Louis DeJoy did his very best to mess up the United States Postal Service in 2020. STILL somehow Postmaster General, he's continued to dismantle the Post Office.) There are many many scenarios where Trump could have defeated Joe Biden in 2020. (For example, had Trump successfully suppressed just 42,921 more Democratic votes in Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin, he would have tied Joe Biden in the Electoral College even if Joe Biden still captured Pennsylvania. And despite the Democrats' slim House majority, when the Electoral College is tied each state's delegation gets a single vote to decide who's won the presidency. So California (42 Dems, 11 GOP) gets a single vote. Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota each get a single vote, with just one GOP House member in each state's delegation. Spoiler: Trump wins.) {NAME}: Donald Trump is running for President again in 2024. And this time, he's not leaving anything to chance. “As of late September, 19 states had enacted 33 laws that will make it harder for their citizens to vote,” ex-Republican David Brock writes in The New York Times, admitting he grossly underestimated the evil of Donald Trump. And the Senate GOP -- led by Mitch McConnell -- just filibustered the Freedom to Vote Act for the THIRD TIME this year, even though all 50 Democrats supported bringing the bill to a vote on the Senate Floor. That means millions of voters are still vulnerable to Trump's voter suppression scheme. Trump's plan is working. Perfectly. And you will stop him. You stepped up after 2016 in a way we thought would be unimaginable the night of November 8, 2016. You spoke out. You marched. You knocked on doors. You donated. And Democrats voted even though 2018 was an off-year. And Democrats won. Democrats took back the House in 2018 because we all stepped up together. And then Democrats voted again in 2020, even though there was a global pandemic. And Democrats won. Democrats defeated Donald Trump and took back the Senate with the election of Senator Warnock and Senator Ossoff, both from Georgia. Because we all stepped up together. When Democrats Turn Out, Democrats Win. With only a year until November 2022, when Donald Trump tries to suppress the Democratic vote, we cannot let him succeed. We cannot let Donald J. Trump succeed. We will not let Donald J. Trump succeed. Now is the time to defy history and expand our House Majority in 2022 by empowering a new generation of leaders who demand progress for America. That's what being a Democrat is all about: Democrats look back at the ugliness of the past and say: Let's make the future of America better than it's been before. And then we get to work. Let's get to work re-electing Raphael Warnock and defeating Trump's hand-picked challenger Hershel Walker. Let's get to work protecting endangered Senators like Maggie Hassan (who won by just 1,017 votes in 2016, her last election). And when Democrats Turn Out in 2022, we will replace GOP Senators with progressive Democrats in Wisconsin, in Pennsylvania, in Florida, and in North Carolina, giving Democrats a 54 seat majority in the Senate. We'll then repeal the Filibuster, give Puerto Rico and Washington DC statehood, and expel Mitch McConnell from the Senate. We'll do it together. Democrats can. And Democrats must. We cannot thank you enough for your commitment to taking America back from the evils of Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the rank-and-file members of the GOP who sit by and let it happen, even though they know in their hearts that it's wrong. It's impossible to express the gratitude with which we have to thank you for all you've done and all you'll continue to do to save our country from Donald Trump and the evils of the Republican Party. Thank you. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU 1,000 times over. - When Democrats Turn Out [CONTRIBUTE]( Paid for by When Democrats Turn Out PAC Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.
