This report highlights the critical work of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the difference our supporters make. From delivering emergency food assistance in crisis settings to investing in economic opportunities and school meals programs, the U.N. World Food Programme is leading humanitarian efforts that save lives and change futures. This is only made possible through your generous partnership. See the top highlights from the report: [Image of WFP staff preparing hot meals in Gaza. ]( In August, WFP distributed over 6.7 million hot meals through 60 kitchens. Our Impact in Gaza WFP continues to provide food assistance to more than 1 million people per month in Gaza despite immense challenges. Some soup kitchens are providing hot meals with fresh vegetables, like potatoes and onions, to stave off malnutrition. This is part of an effort to bring more produce into Gaza to supplement the emergency rations families have lived on for months. [Mothers and children waiting in WFP supported health center in Port Sudan.]( WFP supports health centers, such as this one in Port Sudan, where mothers and children are screened and treated for malnutrition. Our Impact in Sudan WFP has reached more than 8.4M people in Sudan since April 2023 with food and cash. Despite recent access challenges, WFP is scaling up these programs in 14 areas that are at risk of or are already experiencing famine. The reopening of Chad's Adre border means we'll be able to reach 105K more people. She also receives cash assistance from WFP, which she uses to care for her son who has a disability. Our Impact in Ukraine In Ukraine, WFP provides cash assistance to people affected by the war, which helps them meet their basic needs while supporting Ukraine's economic recovery. Since March 2022, WFP has reached 2.4 million people every month with food, cash, and livelihood support. More than $550 million in cash support has been provided to people inside Ukraine.
