Also: How a 2nd House impeachment is expected to work; mass vaccination site planned for Gillette Stadium ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  [Donate [WBUR]]( [View in Browser](  [WBUR]( January 13, 2021 Good Morning Boston, 🌞 Sunny, with a high near 39. We're talking about vaccines, impeachment and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's emotional (and final) State Of The City Address in today's newsletter. Here's what's going on: - Many will soon be rushing to Gillette Stadium, but this time it won't be for football, a concert or a drive-through dinosaur park. It will become home to the [first mass vaccination site]( in Massachusetts, opening its doors next week to first responders. The hope is that it will eventually be able to administer thousands of doses per day as eligibility expands. Another mass vaccination site could be Fenway Park, but it's not a done deal yet. Red Sox President Sam Kennedy said he's in talks with state officials and hopes to have an announcement soon. - The largest addiction treatment provider in Massachusetts has [begun vaccinating]( and long-term patients against COVID. Spectrum Health System received 700 doses of the Moderna vaccine last week. As of yesterday, they had administered about half of those doses. - There's a [new rule]( for international travel: All air passengers entering the U.S. will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test before boarding their flight as of Jan. 26. And in non-coronavirus news: - Last night, Walsh gave what is likely to be his final State of the City address before heading to D.C. to serve as Joe Biden's Secretary of Labor. He acknowledged that 2020 was "a tough year" for the city (and with a pandemic, election year and national reckoning with racism all at the same time, we know that's an understatement). But he added that he hopes 2021 will be "a year of healing." More on his speech below. - And when it comes to filling the mayor's spot, city councilors will vote today on the schedule for the special election, meaning we'll soon know if it's going to happen this summer or in November, as scheduled. - Cambridge school superintendent Kenneth Salim is resigning at the end of June after five years on the job. He said stepping down is "what's best for his family right now." - Cold case: The FBI is offering a $30,000 reward in connection with the murder of five men in Boston from 30 years ago. The men were killed while playing cards in a Chinatown social club. Two of the killers were caught and convicted, but a third man, Hung Tien Fam, was never caught. P.S.– New research shows baby sharks hatched in warmer oceans are small, hungry, exhausted and more vulnerable in the wild. That's not good "doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo." — Meagan McGinnes [@meaganmcginnes]( newsletters@wbur.org The Rundown [1.](url)[In His Final State Of The City Address, Boston Mayor Walsh Calls 2021 A Year For Healing]( "The truth is, I'm not going to Washington alone.
