In small ways and BIG ways [View in Web Browser]( [CLICK HERE to Register Now for Overcome Self-Sabotage 2023]( Hi {NAME}, I use the term 'self-sabotage' to describe any behavior you engage in which you know will take you further away from your dreams and from living the life you know you're capable of. It's an important subject to me because I spent so much of my life doing exactly that, and I've also studied how our masters trick us into destroying ourselves. Just like it has in my life, self-sabotage can show up in your life in small ways or in very big ways. And over time, the consequences of even small, repeating acts of self-sabotage can be devastating. Some examples... Procrastination on your self-care practices a few times isn't detrimental, but if you always procrastinate on taking care of yourself then you'll eventually end up in an out of shape, inflexible body and you'll experience frustration, depression, and anxiety. Starting an unnecessary conflict with your partner once can be resolved, but if you habitually seek drama and chaos your partner will eventually get sick of it and leave. If you overspend or borrow money in an emergency it can be overcome, but if you chronically debt and avoid your finances you'll end up in mid-life broke, with no assets, and living with unbearable stress. Satiating your negative emotions with chocolate or junk food once in a long while won't really slow you down, but if you do so daily, you'll gain weight, lose self-esteem, and live with a sustained, subtle feeling of guilt and shame. And if you drink alcohol once in a while you may be able to avoid the fallout of this toxic drug, but if you slip into alcoholism you will destroy everything in your life. If you think negatively about your life and your circumstances, then you will continue to create situations which fulfill that level of thinking, and your life will only always get worse. There are painfully real consequences to self-sabotage, but it's not an unsolvable problem. In fact, self-sabotage is a sign that the deepest parts of your mind are functioning properly to do what it thinks it will take to keep you safe. And if you learn to steer this part of your mind effectively, then it's just as easy to do what's best for your life as it is to self-sabotage. There's a LOT more to this conversation, so if you've been wanting to liberate yourself from the tendency to be your own worst enemy, then jump in my upcoming hybrid group/one-on-one coaching event, [Overcome Self-Sabotage 2023](.
