On the Path... [View in Web Browser]( [Access your FREE 15-minute insight call with Dylan]( Hi {NAME},  I'm sure you've heard of the 'dark night of the soul,' right? It's that dramatic turning point in one's life when you either answer the calling of your higher self, or perish in a fit of despair. Evolve or die, as they say. I came upon my first dark night in my early twenties. It was brutal, but looking back I wouldn't trade it for anything. After a long period of sustained struggle and self-destruction, I finally committed to taking command of my life. When I did so, it was as though the universe had been listening and waiting for me to step up, and everything I needed to change course and heal myself just seemed to show up out of the blue... synchronistically. It was nothing short of magical, and for the first time I began to discover the mystical side of life. I was introduced to so many books and ideas that inspired me to seek out and make contact with spirit. And I did. And everything changed. For many years thereafter, I pursued threads of information about anything spiritual and mystical. I flooded my mind with inspiring ideas that had seemed so far beyond the fray of conventional knowledge and experience. I experimented with many modalities of healing and spiritual growth. I put my body to the test with Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Yoga. I held regular, deep, intimate conversations with myself in my journal. I explored ceremonial shamanism. Fast forward twenty or so years to today, and I've gathered a tremendous amount of self-knowledge. I know that I have an inherently grounded view of this experience we call life. I know that I need practices and ideas that help me to function effectively in this dense and procedural world. I know that while I am intrigued and fascinated by mysticism, I'm of less value to those whom depend on me if my head is in the clouds. I found a way to transmute so many big, cosmic ideas into practical, daily ways of maintaining higher consciousness while tending to my own conscious evolution. I often wonder if all of this is related to my Zodiac, a grounded Taurus, but whatever it compelling me on this path, my philosophy on life has evolved in a way that brings mystical knowledge to practical living, and now I coach my clients on the most grounded and practical ways to explore conscious elevation in this hard-tack matrix we live in. In other words, I learned to explore the cosmic, then bring those ideas and experiences back down to earth into practical methods of conducting an effective, powerful, and peaceful life while so many out there are struggling. After all, I am a husband and father of three, tasked with supporting and loving a happy family in this shit show of fear, manipulation, and ignorance that is the 3D world.  This is what my personal journey is about, and I see this reflected in a the latest episode of [Battered Souls](, with guest Sol Luckman, a prolific writer, artist, and musician. In our conversation we discussed a number of cosmic and spiritual ideas, and I was struck at how he and I can look at the same concept from different perspectives. Sol admirably looks at many of the same ideas from a mystical vantage point, and I discuss the other side, leaning on more operational interpretations, and relaying how I translate many of these concepts for my coaching clients. It's the perfect blend of yin and yang, as above so below, and a reminder to myself to never stop exploring and being open to the new. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this episode, and you can catch up with Sol at his website, [HERE](. And as always, if you're curious about how working with me directly can nudge your life forward by assisting you in seeing practical ways to grow and evolve consciousness, then book a FREE 15-minute call with me [HERE](. Peace and Power, [_Dylan Charles]( [Battered Souls Podcast]( [Access your FREE 15-minute insight call with Dylan]( [Dylan Charles - Self-Mastery and Self-Sabotage Coach]( Dylan Charles Editor, [Waking Times]( Host of [Battered Souls]( [Self-Mastery Coaching]( [Dylan Charles - Self-Mastery and Self-Sabotage Coach]( Dylan Charles Editor, [Waking Times]( Host of [Battered Souls]( [Self-Mastery Coaching]( Oh, here's a great Valentine's gift idea for someone you love.
