On the Path... [View in Web Browser]( [Access your FREE 15-minute insight call with Dylan]( Hi {NAME},  It's a subject that comes up all the time with my coaching clients, and it's one of the historically most viewed topics at [Waking Times](... ALCOHOL...and its detrimental impact on one's health and spirit. If you've listened to my podcast, [Battered Souls](, or read some of my articles on the matter, you'll know that alcoholism has been a big part of my personal story. It's something that stood in the way of my happiness and effectiveness for most of my life. As I write this today, I am overjoyed to report that it has been 644 days since I've had a drink, and life keeps getting better and better. Almost every morning I wake up and thank God for my sobriety. So WHY don't I drink? Why don't I have a cold beer at happy hour to take the edge off of a long day? Why do I drink club soda instead of booze at parties, social gatherings, clubs, and events? Why don't I 'celebrate' special occasions a glass of bubbly? Why don't enjoy that occasional glass of red wine with dinner? The work I do in my coaching practice is very much about developing emotional sobriety so that life can be approached with deep clarity and higher consciousness. So that my clients, and myself, can be relaxed and productive rather than anxious and overwhelmed, no matter what life throws at us. I quit because there a lot of people depending on me, including myself, and drinking cripples me. I quit because after three plus decades of drinking to escape, I finally realized that with alcohol in my life I was unable to comprehend the true nature of my problems, and was unable to see clearly to an outcome that honored my highest self. I quit because my family needs my clarity and focus, not my drama and disappointments. I quit because I could no longer lie to myself that drinking made me fun to be around, and made life more enjoyable. I quit because after every drink I had, I'd wake up in the morning feeling like a took step backwards in my health and fitness. I quit because I love myself and knew that I deserved something bigger and better for my life. In short, I quit because the pleasure was no longer worth the pain. I coach my clients around their potential to raise consciousness and live an emotionally mature and sober life, so they can be, have, and do anything they want. And alcohol has NO place in my life for the role I've chosen. If you're interested in how my coaching can assist you in overcoming the programmed addiction to substances and to negativity, and how to live a life free of self-doubt and brain fog, book a FREE 15-minute call with me, [HERE](, and we'll see if we are a good fit for one another. Peace and Power, [_Dylan Charles]( [Access your FREE 15-minute insight call with Dylan]( [Dylan Charles - Self-Mastery and Self-Sabotage Coach]( Dylan Charles Editor, [Waking Times]( Host of [Battered Souls]( [Self-Mastery Coaching]( [Dylan Charles - Self-Mastery and Self-Sabotage Coach]( Dylan Charles Editor, [Waking Times]( Host of [Battered Souls]( [Self-Mastery Coaching]( Oh, here's a great Valentine's gift idea for someone you love.
