No one should be turned away Hey {NAME}! It’s Dan Pfeiffer, former senior advisor to President Obama, though you might know me better from my current gig co-hosting "Pod Save America." Look, the only way our democracy works is if every voter is able to cast their ballot unimpeded. No barriers, no intimidation, no shame, no fear. Voter ID laws can be an enormous barrier. Getting an accepted form of voter ID can be difficult, expensive, and time-consuming — especially if you don’t have transportation or disposable income. Why should losing your birth certificate or getting your wallet stolen mean you forfeit your right to vote? Of course, it shouldn’t, and that’s where VoteRiders can help. VoteRiders is doing the practical, time-consuming, and enormously helpful work of letting every voter know whether or not they need an ID to vote and then helping them get that ID if they don’t have it. They work with voters tracking down paperwork, making appointments, arranging transportation, and just being a supportive presence in a process that can be frustrating and dehumanizing. There is no other organization serving this need on this scale. And because the people they’re working with are often low-frequency voters, they serve a part of the electorate many other organizations ignore. The stakes of this election are too high to let anyone be turned away. [I hope you’ll consider donating whatever amount you can to VoteRiders today as they work to reach millions of voters in these final weeks. They even have a matching donor who is currently doubling all gifts through Election Day, so your gift will reach twice as many voters.]( [MATCH MY GIFT!]( There is a lot of work to do and we don’t have any time to waste. [Make a generous gift to VoteRiders, and it will help voters cast a ballot with confidence.]( Thank you, Dan Pfeiffer Co-Host, Pod Save America P.S. [VoteRiders and Vote Save America are co-hosting a phonebank for Pennsylvania voters on Tuesday, October 22. I’ll be there to talk about the voter ID laws in Pennsylvania, and then we’ll all make calls to voters — it will be a lot of fun and I hope you can join us!]( [DONATE]( VoteRiders is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit organization registered in the US under EIN 45-5081831. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
