Republicans want to make it easier for the super rich to cheat on their taxes. Earlier this year, Arkansas Congressmen Rick Crawford, French Hill, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman ALL voted to gut 84% of new funding to replace retiring staff at the IRS. The only people who benefit are the wealthy tax cheats who will get away with not paying their fair share. The rest of us will have to deal with longer wait times on the phone and longer processing times before we get the refunds we are owed. Tell House Republicans to stop enabling tax cheats! [ADD YOUR NAME](   {NAME},  Each year, wealthy and corporate tax cheats get away with evading at least $160 billion in taxes they owe. But, thanks to the largest-ever investment in the IRS – passed by Democrats last year – that could be about to change.  Last year, our friends at Americans for Tax Fairness fought for and WON an $80 billion investment to upgrade systems, expand services, and (most importantly) hire the staff they need to replace workers who retire or quit.  Here’s what that investment means for us:  - Corporations and the super rich will FINALLY pay their fair share. - Regular Americans won’t spend hours on hold with the IRS. - Working people will get our tax refunds faster. - We can stop spending HUNDREDS of dollars to TurboTax and H&R Block with the new simple, FREE, easy-to-use, completely online software to help us file simple tax returns.  Already the expanded funding has helped the IRS collect $38 million in unpaid taxes from the super rich, and answered 2.4 million more taxpayer calls than in previous years. And, next year they’re planning to launch a pilot program of new tax-filing software that’s 100% free for any taxpayer to use.  But now ALL of this is under threat by House Republicans who want to claw back $67 billion of the $80 billion investment – an 84% cut in funding.  Apparently, protecting wealthy tax cheats is more important to Republicans like Arkansas’s own Rick Crawford, French Hill, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman.  We need your help to fight back against Republican attempts to gut critical investments in the IRS.
