"I fully expected her to come home." {NAME},  Those were the devastating words of Josseli Barnica's husband after his 28-year-old wife died needlessly in a Texas hospital – forced to wait 40 excruciating hours while doctors delayed treating her miscarriage due to the state's extreme abortion ban.  For nearly two days, Josseli lay in agony as doctors refused to intervene until there was no fetal heartbeat, telling her it would be "a crime" to help her. By the time they finally acted, it was too late.  She developed a fatal infection and never made it home to her one-year-old daughter. [A screenshot of a ProPublica article with the headline, “A Woman Died After Being Told it Would be a ‘Crime’ to Intervene in Her Miscarriage at a Texas Hospital.”]( This is the cruel reality of Republican abortion bans. And here in Arkansas, we face even stricter restrictions than Texas. Abortion is completely outlawed from conception except in medical emergencies - but as we've seen time and time again, hospitals delay care until conditions become life-threatening, fearing criminal prosecution.  With just 5 days until Election Day, we have a critical chance to prevent more senseless deaths like Josseli's. Vortex PAC is fighting to flip all four of Arkansas' House seats from MAGA Republican control to pro-choice Democrats who will protect women's reproductive rights.  The stakes couldn't be higher. If Republicans maintain control of the House, they'll push for a national abortion ban that would force every state to adopt these deadly restrictions. We cannot let that happen.  [Your donation of $25, $50, $75, $100, or whatever you can give today will fund our final push to educate voters, support our pro-choice candidates - Rodney, Marcus, Caitlin, and Risie - and get Arkansans to the polls on Tuesday.](  The choice is clear: We can either accept a future where more women die preventable deaths, or we can take action now to elect representatives who will protect reproductive healthcare.  We owe it to Josseli, her daughter, and every woman in America to fight back. With your help, we can flip these seats and help secure a Democratic House majority that will safeguard reproductive rights.  Donate now to help us win this fight. We have 5 days left - let's make them count.  Thank you,  Jennifer Browne for Team Vortex [Support Vortex PAC](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right. We are recruiting, training, and supporting Democratic candidates to flip all four of Arkansas’ U.S. congressional districts and help win back the House majority in 2024.
