{NAME}, We witnessed one of the most chilling moments in American politics in last night’s Vice

{NAME}, We witnessed one of the most chilling moments in American politics in last night’s Vice Presidential debate.  When asked directly if Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, J.D. Vance refused to answer. Governor Tim Walz called it a "damning non-answer" - and he's absolutely right.  On January 6th, 2021, then-VP Mike Pence mustered the integrity to fulfill his constitutional duty to certify the election results, even as violent insurrectionists chanted "Hang Mike Pence" outside the Capitol. [A GIF of a clip of the VP debate where Governor Tim Walz recounts the events of January 6th in the Capitol as well as in Minnesota, where his son was impacted.]( Let’s be real: that's why Mike Pence is not Trump's running mate this year.  Instead, we have Vance – a man who can't bring himself to acknowledge the basic truth that Trump lost in 2020, even as Walz recounted how his own son had to be rushed to safety by police during January 6th-inspired threats at the Minnesota state capitol.  Vance’s silence is a fundamental threat, another chipping away at our democracy and the peaceful transfer of power that has defined our republic for over 200 years.  Here in Arkansas, we currently have two election deniers sitting in Congress. [A screenshot from ElectionDeniers.org showing that 2 election deniers are sitting members of Congress in Arkansas right now, Eric Crawford and Bruce Westerman.]( All four of our representatives have embraced Trump's MAGA extremism. This cannot stand – we must flip these seats if we want to secure free and fair elections.  The choice this November couldn't be clearer. We can embrace conspiracy theories and undermine faith in our democratic institutions, or we can stand up for truth, the rule of law, and the sanctity of the vote.  I know which side I'm on. Are you with me?  [Your donation today will help us fight back against election denialism and defend democracy in Arkansas. Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, or whatever is in your budget today to help us flip all four of our House seats blue. Every dollar counts in this critical battle for the soul of our nation.](  Let's send a clear message this November: In America, voters decide elections. Not conspiracy theorists or sore losers. This isn't just about politics, this is about democracy.  Let’s go!  Dr. Chris Jones [Support Vortex PAC](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right. We are recruiting, training, and supporting Democratic candidates to flip all four of Arkansas’ U.S. congressional districts and help win back the House majority in 2024.
