It’s funny until you realize it’s not. {NAME},  Republican VP nominee J.D. Vance's recent comments about "childless cat ladies" have ignited a firestorm of controversy.  We’ve all had our laughs the last few days, trading memes and joking with our friends. It was such an absurd thing to say that it’s easy to treat it like a joke.  But it isn’t, really.  These remarks, along with his vote against the "Right to IVF Act," expose a deeply concerning attitude towards reproductive rights and family planning.  Vance's words aren't just offensive - they represent a mindset that could have real, harmful consequences for families across America, including right here in Arkansas.  Including your own Vortex candidates.  Caitlin Draper, running for Arkansas's 3rd district, has spent the last four years undergoing IVF treatments. Their journey led to a much-wanted pregnancy but also landed her life in danger when that pregnancy became non-viable – thanks to our state’s extreme abortion ban.  Who the hell is J.D. Vance to stand in the way of Caitlin’s right – or any American’s right – to reproductive healthcare?  Even Rodney Govens, running in the 1st district, has IVF to thank for the lives of his twins. As he puts it: "To criminalize the very science that gifted us our children is to deny countless couples the chance to experience the miracle of parenthood."  Vance’s attitude is so callous that even the famously apolitical Jennifer Aniston felt compelled to respond.  Jennifer said, "Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too." [A screenshot of an Instagram story by Jennifer Aniston. At the top, it reads: ]( It's a powerful statement from someone who's been open about her own struggles with infertility.  Unfortunately, Vance is far from alone in his weirdo beliefs. All four Arkansas House representatives are on the record supporting the Dobbs decision, and three have even co-sponsored legislation that would impose a national abortion ban and effectively shut down IVF.  The reality is that families and lives come in all forms. Some have children; some don't. What matters is that we respect each other's choices and fight for everyone's right to make those choices freely and experience their own journeys.  That's why we need your support. Your donation today is crucial in our fight against the regressive policies championed by J.D. Vance, Donald Trump, and our current Arkansas representatives.  By supporting candidates like Caitlin and Rodney, who have lived these struggles, we're not just telling stories - we're changing the narrative.  [Can you stand with us by contributing $25, $50, $75, $100, or whatever you can afford? Every dollar fuels our mission to protect reproductive freedoms and push back against those who would strip them away. This isn't just about politics - it's about preserving the right of every Arkansan to make their own family planning decisions without government interference.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [  Express Donate: $25  Â]( [  Express Donate: $50  Â]( [   Express Donate: $75  Â]( [  Express Donate: $100 Â]( [  Express Donate: $250 Â]( [  Donate Other Amount  Â]( Together, we can create a Vortex of change that puts families first – in all their beautiful, diverse forms.  Whether you're a parent, hoping to become one, or happily child-free, hugging your cat tight – your voice matters in this fight.  Let's make sure it's heard.  Let’s go!  Robb  P.S. If you’re in Northwest Arkansas and want to meet Caitlin to hear her story in person (as well as all her plans for Arkansas as our next congresswoman), then join us this Monday, August 5th, at 5:30pm in Springdale.
