A message from your Vortex candidate, Caitlin Draper. Happy Pride, {NAME}!  As a proud member of the LBGTQIA+ community, Pride is incredibly close to my heart. [A photo of congressional candidate Caitlin Draper posing for a photo with some of her team members at an event for Sebastian County Democrats holding a sign that features a rainbow.]( For generations, LGBTQIA+ Americans have been on the frontlines of the fight for justice and equality for all. We've secured historic victories, but there is still so much work to do.  Arkansas' Republican legislators are no strangers to pushing anti-LGBTQIA+ laws.  Just last month, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to comply with Title IX expansion — a law that bans any discrimination based on sexual orientation.  My Republican opponent, Steve Womack, has a damnable record of voting against landmark LGBTQIA+ legislation, including the Equality Act, the Respect for Marriage Act, and the Global Respect Act.  These oppressive decisions are the reason why too many Arkansans don’t feel safe in their own communities. It's why our kids might grow up with fewer rights than their parents. And it's why we need to recommit to defending the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.  As a social worker, I’ve seen the effect anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation and rhetoric have on our community, especially our children. It’s difficult to grow and thrive in a place where it’s been made clear that you’re not welcome.  I’m proud to be a member of the Vortex slate, working with my Democratic colleagues to flip all four seats representing Arkansas in the House of Representatives. We’re doing something that’s never been done before in Arkansas – building statewide infrastructure for organizing and mobilizing Democratic and unaffiliated voters from all 75 counties to break our state free from the grip of extremism.  [Will you join me in supporting our efforts by splitting a contribution between my campaign and Vortex today? Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500 – every dollar makes an impact.]( [  Donate to Caitlin + Vortex Â]( This month, and every month, I stand with the LGBTQIA+ community.  Thank you,  Caitlin Draper Democratic nominee for AR-03 [Support Vortex PAC >>](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right.
