Indian Railways to make 10,000 non-AC coaches amid overcrowding in trains; Vaishnaw highlights trains’ composition Amid the recent surge in complaints of overcrowding in trains, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that currently, in trains having 22 coaches, 12 are non-AC general and sleeper class coaches and eight are AC coaches. He stated that out of all the coaches currently in use, two-thirds are non-AC, while one-third are AC variants.He said this in response to questions raised by IUML MP Haris Beeran in Rajya Sabha.
