More than half of the U.S. states would ban marriage equality. [LGBTQ+ Victory Fund logo]( Folks, It's clear the Supreme Court isn't going to defend LGBTQ+ equality. If they get their way, previous rulings on marriage equality will be overturned, including Obergefell. And right now, more than half of the U.S. states have outdated bans that would immediately go into effect after a ruling. But here's the good news: we've been electing LGBTQ+ candidates who are fighting to defend love. In Virginia, State Sen. Adam Ebbin and Del. Mark Sickles are pushing constitutional amendments to fully repeal their ban, while Del. Rozia Henson passed legislation requiring clerks to issue marriage licenses. In California, Colorado and Hawaii, our LGBTQ+ elected officials have put marriage equality on the November ballot. In Ohio and Pennsylvania, Victory Fund candidates have introduced legislation repealing their states' bans. This is HUGE progress, and we have to keep the momentum going. This November, we can expand pro-equality majorities in the U.S. Congress and state legislatures around the country.
