Thank American troops for their service during the hottest time of the year. Hi, I wanted to make sure you saw yesterday's email from Chef Robert Irvine about signing our Summer Troop Support card. We're really hoping you'll add your name, because hearing from military supporters like you means so much to the brave American troops serving in hot, dangerous conditions around the world. We've set a goal to get 50,000 patriotic Americans to sign this card -- but right now we're still short of this goal, and time is running out: [Will you add your name now to show your gratitude for American troops serving in harsh conditions during the hottest time of the year?]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Thank you for your support! Mary English Bell, USO --------------------------------------------------------------- From: Chef Robert Irvine Sent: Fr id ay, J ul y 1 5, 20 2 2 Subject: Calling on patriotic Americans to support our troops serving in hot, dangerous conditions [SIGN THE CARD NOW]( [Photo of Robert Irvine]( [As temperatures rise, show your support for American troops!]( [GOAL: 50,000 SIGNATURES]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Mary English, You know the saying: [If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.]( As a chef and restaurant owner, I know all too well how hot it gets during a long shift in the back of the house, where open flames and roaring ovens are part of the job. But the temperatures in a restaurant kitchen are nothing compared to what the heroes in our Armed Forces deal with daily. Today and every day, American troops carry out their duties in conditions that are hard to imagine for a lot of us back home. Right now, they may be working in sweltering tanks on scorching sand dunes and in triple-digit temperatures in battleship boiler rooms — just to keep us safe. I just wrapped up a USO tour to personally thank American troops for dealing with these hardships on our behalf — and today, I'm asking you to join me in showing gratitude. We've set a goal to get at least 50,000 patriotic Americans to sign the USO's 2022 Summer Troop Support card, and we're hoping to see your name on it. [Please, will you add your name to our Summer Troop Support card now to thank American troops for all the sacrifices they're making to protect us and keep us safe?]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( This is the time of year when many of us are heading to the beach or cranking up the air conditioning to escape the heat, but the heroes defending our freedom don't have that option. That's why we've got to go the extra mile to thank them for enduring unimaginably harsh conditions on our behalf. It's impossible to thank American service members enough for everything they're doing to make the world a safer place, but we can all take just a small step to show our gratitude. [By signing this card, Mary English, you're showing how much you care about our troops, and that's so, so important.]( Sincerely, Chef Robert Irvine United Service Organizations, Inc.
