My journey to recovery was challenging, involving treatment at Bethesda Naval Hospital and physical therapy at Balboa Naval Hospital. Through it all, I found the strength to keep pushing forward thanks to loved ones and Marine Corps supporters who encouraged me every step of the way. Their support made all the difference — and I’ve since went on to compete in the hopes of making the Paralympics, summited Mount Vinson in Antarctica and completed the Marine Corps Marathon. These experiences taught me the power of community support and how much it means to hear from folks back home. That’s why I’m asking for your support. The USO is looking to collect 50,000 signatures by midnight tomorrow to honor and celebrate the Marines Corps.
