My brother served on the USS Durham for four years and was recognized with the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. I’ve seen the sacrifices they make, from spending long months isolated at sea to missing holidays with their loved ones. That’s why I was so disappointed to see we fell short of our signature goal for the Navy’s birthday. With just a few hours left until our extended deadline, I noticed you still haven’t added your name, so I wanted to personally reach out with one last reminder. [Will you sign our Navy birthday card now to honor our sailors and all who serve?]( [SIGN THE CARD]( Thank you, Tabitha Glenn Vice President, USO --------------------------------------------------------------- From: USO Sign the Card Team Sent: Mond a y, O ctob er 1 4, 2 02 4 [SIGN THE CARD]( Note: Thousands of National Guard and active-duty service members are currently responding to Hurricane Milton, while many are continuing their response efforts across the Southeast following Hurricane Helene. The mental toll of long deployments, combined with the stress of their critical missions, can be profound. On the Navy's birthday, these courageous service members deserve to be recognized and know that they have our deepest gratitude and support. [SIGN THE CARD]( That's why we've set a goal to collect 50,000 signatures via email and text message from committed supporters like you on our birthday card for the U.S. Navy ahead of the midnight goal deadline: [Please, will you take just a moment now to add your name to our birthday card for the U.S. Navy to honor and show gratitude to our sailors?]( Thank you so much for standing with the members of our Navy. —The USO United Service Organizations, Inc.
