I'm the swimmer from the University of Kentucky who was forced to compete against a man at the women's NCAA championships. But I'm not speaking out because of what happened to me. Rather, I'm speaking louder because there are thousands of young women and girls who are told they need to "shut up." They're told men deserve women's trophies. That men deserve their scholarships.
