Last chance to make a difference for someone this year!

Time is running out!   {NAME}, There are only a few more hours left in 2023 – have you had the chance to make a difference in the lives of those in need?  “It is kind of hard to get a job when you don’t have a place to live, you’ve got to have a place to shower and stuff,” said Eric, who had been homeless for 10 years before getting connected to a United Way program. “There’s people out there that are willing to help [so] you can get back on your feet, and actually feel like a normal person again,” he said.  In more than 1,000 communities across the globe, United Ways are actively creating opportunities for people like Eric to create a better future for themselves and their families. United Way looks at the needs of a whole person, and a whole community – aligning efforts around health, education, economic mobility, and disaster recovery to create thriving communities.   And we’re seeing significant success.  We’re helping to make healthy foods and healthcare more accessible. We’re supporting early childhood education programs so that kids can start school ready to succeed. We’re providing job training, financial education, and increasing access to affordable housing to help adults build economic mobility. We’re on the ground in areas affected by disaster, helping people whose homes have been destroyed to find a place to live, access health care, and find the path toward recovery.   But we don’t do this work alone.
