But for people living in Syria and Türkiye, the events of February 6 will stay with them forever: - After fleeing the conflict in Syria, Raida and her five children thought that they had found safety in Hatay, Türkiye, but the deadly earthquakes destroyed her home and the life they’d worked so hard to build - Aleye (pictured) lost both her son and grandson when the building they lived in collapsed. She now shelters in a centre that was meant to provide temporary accommodation for Syrian refugees - In Hama Governorate, Syria, displaced pharmacist Firas spent eight years saving to build a home for his family, along with a pharmacy to serve the local community. However, the earthquake destroyed the newly constructed buildings, and left him with nothing With teams already on the ground in both Syria and Türkiye, we were able to start delivering emergency support – such as tents, blankets, winter clothes and solar lamps, helping women and children at risk and providing mental health and psychosocial support – straight away. But our work isn't finished. Syrian and Turkish families need your support to get their lives back on track.
