They are a great way to burn more fat and define your muscles to fast-track your physique goals. Here are three of my favourite finishers for you to try.     Drop sets Drop sets are an amazing way to pump more blood into the muscle to build strength and size. Choose an exercise that works the main body part you have been training, and do 10-12 reps at a moderate weight, 10-12 reps at 70% of that weight, then as many reps as you can at 50% of that weight. Drop sets are best for dumbbell, barbell, or pin-loaded machine exercises so you can change the weights quickly.   Here’s an example of a drop set finisher on shoulder day: Dumbbell shoulder press drop set 10-12 reps with 20kg dumbbells 10-12 reps with 15kg dumbbells Max reps at 10kg dumbbells     Cable Work I love using the cable machine for a short, intense finisher. You can really pump out the reps to work every angle of the muscle. Examples of cable finishers are triceps push-downs on arm day or cable cross-overs on chest day. Try doing 2-3 cable exercises at a moderate-light weight, one after the other.     Giant sets Giant sets are a circuit of 3 or 4 similar exercises in which you do one after the other. Choose exercises that work the main muscle group you have been targeting in your workout. Here’s an example of a drop set finisher on shoulder day: Hammer strength chest press 10-12 reps Dumbbell incline press 10-12 reps Dumbbell chest flyes 12-15 reps How should you use finishers? As the name suggests, you do them at the end of your workout once you have done all your other exercises. Finishers should take no more than 10 minutes of short, intense work.   Keep up the great work team & remember to keep posting your progress in the [community group!]( Ulisses Jr.   FOLLOW ME [Facebook]( [Instagram]( [Twitter]( [Tiktok]( No longer want to receive these emails?
