No, we're not seeing double! We just welcomed two new members to the herd... Hey there family! No, we aren’t seeing double. We just had not one, but two baby giraffes born! That's right, two adorable, long-necked baby giraffes have just joined the family at Tanganyika Wildlife Park. Penelope and Ismene, our resident giraffe moms, gave birth days apart to one male and one female, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Between these two little ones, our giraffe herd has grown to 18 members across three generations! This makes it one of the largest giraffe herds in the United States! These two new babies mark the 69th giraffe calves born at Tanganyika since my parents founded the park in the 1980s. These newborns are already showing their unique personalities and they're growing fast. The calves shook off their dramatic entrance into the world (a 6-foot drop, yikes!) and stood up quickly to start nursing. Giraffe Keeper, Robert O., couldn't be happier with their progress. And guess what, you can meet these towering babies too! They've started to make appearances at the Giraffe Encounter station where you can get close enough to see those big brown eyes and even feed the rest of the herd. It's an experience you won't forget, we promise. Tanganyika Wildlife Park reopens for the season on March 9th, and we want you to be a part of our baby giraffe journey. We're kicking off with our annual season pass sale from March 1st to 14th where passes start at just $24.99. There’s still time to sign up for the Season Pass Waitlist to make sure you don’t miss out on our biggest sale of the year! [Join the herd!🦒🦒]( Can't wait to see you (and neither can our giraffe kiddos)! With excitement, Matt and Team Tanganyika 🐾 P.S.—Is someone in your family as crazy about giraffes as we are? You can get the ULTIMATE immersive encounter with our giraffe herd during the [Giraffe Safari Adventure](. Check it out! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
