It’s a bit of a light week for television, which I may be saying every week for a while. Not on

It’s a bit of a light week for television, which I may be saying every week for a while. Not only is the late summer traditionally lacking in new shows, but the upcoming fall season is going to be pretty desolate due to the standoff between big-money studios and struggling actors and writers looking to afford groceries. That said, all you need to do to find something to watch is go deep, which I did this week with TWO recommendations on Peacock. Who’da thunk it? Here’s what to watch this week. -Tim   Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!   MINISERIES PREMIERES WEDNESDAY ON NETFLIX [Depp v. Heard looks at how we looked at Depp v. Heard]( [Where were you when Johnny Depp talked about the alleged and very disputed steaming pile of human deuce that he supposedly found in his bed during the trial of the century between Depp and Amber Heard? This Netflix miniseries examines the infamous celebrity defamation case between the former spouses through the lens of social media and focuses on the deceptive spinning of the truth to sway the court of public opinion that made this trial unlike any other. From mainstream media to TikTok influencers, everyone had their eye on this case, and now we’re all over it again.]( FRIDAY ON PEACOCK [Chris Fleming: Hell could be anything, really]( Comedian Chris Fleming — whom you may know from his [Gayle YouTube series]( (and a really excellent episode of Corporate) — is the exact type of wonderful unhinged lunatic whose performance style of challenging social and gender norms makes for the perfect experiment when you give him a comedy special to do whatever he wants to do. What appears to be a stand-up special interspersed with demented sketches could be anything, really. I have no idea! I just know that he’s funny as heck. Also coming to Peacock this Thursday is Season 2 of Killing It, Craig Robinson’s comedy about the American Dream, killing snakes, and alligators named Buttercup. SERIES PREMIERE FRIDAY ON PRIME VIDEO [Harlan Coben’s Shelter is what we’re calling a young dad show]( [Author Harlan Coben is already a streaming legend on Netflix, where several of his mystery books have been adapted into limited series. Now he’s got one on Prime Video, the YA-leaning “this town is full of secrets” mystery Shelter. It follows Coben’s character Mickey Bolitar (Colin in Black & White’s Jaden Michael) as he searches for a missing classmate following the sudden death of Mickey’s father. It will be an interesting test for Prime Video, which has lots of success with mysteries and thrillers adapted from books, as evidenced by its plethora of “dad shows,” but not much in the young adult space. Three episodes premiere Friday, with new episodes coming weekly.]( IF YOU LIKE THIS, TRY THESE [The best place to look for a new show is with shows you already love]( We get it: You’ve been burned by trying out a new show that everyone is telling you to watch even though it’s not really in your wheelhouse. Avoid all that mess by looking for new shows based on shows you already like. Our massive collection of recommendation lists based on popular shows is ready for you. Love a comfortable mystery drama? Take a look at our [list of shows like Monk](. Looking for a survival reality show? We have [recommendations based on shows like Alone](. Need a romantic, supernatural procedural series? We think [these shows have a lot in common with Lucifer](. Our collection — which is now over 130 lists long — has been updated with shows like [I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson]( [Wednesday]( [Fire Country]( [The Last of Us]( and more. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
