Stop browsing, start watching! The best TV shows and movies to watch on every screen Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r Happy Friday! It’s the weekend of the Academy Awards, and you only have a few days to finish your cram of nominated movies so you can pretend to be a hoity-toity cinephile when you watch the ceremony with your friends. This edition of the newsletter is dedicated to three major categories — Best Picture, Best Documentary, and Best Animated Feature — and my favorites from each. But watch all the nominees! These people worked hard and only got paid millions of dollars to make these things, so we owe them. How else is Spielberg going to put food on the table? Get streaming! -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!](Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r) Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r LUCK OF THE IRISH? [Best Picture is obvious, but the favorite shouldn’t win](Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r) Everything Everywhere All at Once (streaming on Showtime) is a shoo-in to win Best Picture, that we all know. But if I’m handing out the trophies on Sunday (which I am not — The Academy refuses to answer my calls), I’m giving it to The Banshees of Ishinerin, an entirely unique dark comedy with great performances from Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell. It’s streaming on HBO Max. Other Best Picture nominees streaming: All Quiet on the Western Front (Netflix), Tár (Peacock), Top Gun: Maverick (Paramount+), Elvis (HBO Max), Triangle of Sadness (Hulu), Women Talking (Prime Video). Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r REAL COMPETITION [Best Documentary shouldn’t be about timeliness, but it is](Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r) CNN and HBO’s Navalny (HBO Max) has rocketed into the favorite’s circle, and for good reason: The profile of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny after his poisoning by pro-Putin Russian agents is a terrifying look at Putin’s power, autocratic propaganda, and the destruction of democracy. But my favorite doc of the year is something I’ve recommended in this newsletter already: Fire of Love (Hulu and Disney+), which traces the lives of French volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. It’s an odd duck, especially when you compare its free-wheeling go-go vibes to the stiffer competition, but that’s what makes it special. Other Best Documentary nominees streaming: the very good All That Breathes (HBO Max), All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (HBO Max, beginning March 19). Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r COULD BE A DRAW [Best Animated Feature may be the most competitive category of all](Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r) Best Animated Feature is usually a boring category, with one or two (if we’re lucky) worthy nominees and a few others that were box office hits with the kids. But this year, there are four legitimately great animated films worth your time. In any other year, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (Peacock), Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (Showtime), and Turning Red (Disney+) would be worthy winners, but they’re all second to Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (Netflix), a stunning adaptation of the classic story that somehow got snubbed for Best Picture. (It’s a lot better than Ava2ar!) Other Best Animated Feature nominees streaming: The Sea Beast (Netflix). Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r SUNDAY AT 8 PM ET/5 PM PT ON ABC [How to watch the Oscars and other nominees](Wmr33KDSN:m:1:2364960064:FFF2D639F0529537114DD9799AAED6DA:r) Now that you’ve seen all the movies, it’s time to scream in disgust when your favorites do not win. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
