Netflix has some especially good new stuff this week

The RNC is Really Not Cool, but you might as well watch it. Plus, an angry red panda is a big mood, the best new shows on Netflix this week, and the best stuff coming to Amazon Prime in September. Today Netflix announced that it’s developing a live-action [TV series version of Resident Evil]( the massively popular, horrendously scary video game franchise that spanned a very financially successful, very bad film series. Supernatural executive producer Andrew Dabb will be the showrunner. Between this, HBO’s [The Last of Us adaptation]( from Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin, and the long-awaited [Halo series]( coming to Showtime, we can see a video game TV show renaissance off in the distance. Season 3 now on Netflix [Aggretsuko knows how you feel]( Hands down the best animated series about a red panda who does death metal karaoke at night, Aggretsuko is for everyone who harbors a dark side and wants to fight the establishment, but also loves things that are adorable. The anime is more than just Sanrio cuteness overload, though.
