Binge-worthy picks for the weekend include the return of Tyler, the Creator, a new Spike Lee joint, and an adaptation of Joseph Hellerâs classic novel
Hello!
There’s only one guarantee for the series finale of [Game of Thrones]( You’ll walk away mad about at least one character’s ending. While you pray to the HBO gods to save your faves, remember to take a break and soothe your rising blood pressure. We’ve rounded up five of the weekend’s best shows and movies to help you do just that. First up is See You Yesterday, a new production from Spike Lee all about using time travel to enact social justice. If that’s not up your alley, there’s also Catch-22, George Clooney’s adaptation of Joseph Heller’s famous novel; the long-awaited return of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag; The Jellies! a sweet and salty animated comedy from Tyler, the Creator; and It’s Bruno, a show dedicated to man’s best friend. Here are our streaming picks for the weekend, courtesy of Senior Features Editor [Krutika Mallikarjuna](.

WATCH THIS NOW
[See You Yesterday is the new Spike Lee joint](
Now on Netflix
The premise of See You Yesterday feels less wild than it should. Two genius teens from Brooklyn invent a time machine to go back and stop the shooting of their brother (and unlike [Avengers: Endgame]( the time travel in this movie actually makes sense!). But the true core of this [Spike Lee]( production is not the sci-fi, however well-executed; it's the relationship between a teenage girl and her big brother and how quickly a statistic can turn into a way of life. If you need an emotionally gripping movie that also challenges the societal rules we live under — with a dash of time travel — then this is the pick for you.
CALLING ALL COEN BROTHERS STANS
[Catch-22 will ensnare you](
Now on Hulu
Though the [Coen brothers]( are not actually involved in the making of Hulu's [Catch-22]( the show is a siren call for Coen stans. Adapted by [George Clooney]( the show follows a young pilot determined to get out of his remaining missions and go home. But in his quest, Yossarian ([Chris Abbott]( runs into increasingly dark and comical hurdles, not least of which are military bureaucracy and fallacy of sanity in wartime. Slick, visually lush, and now with approximately 70 percent less misogyny (Heller's novel is... not nice to women), Catch-22 is the perfect weekend watch for those who need to laugh to keep from crying.
A COMPLICATED WOMAN
[Fleabag is not for the faint of heart](
Now on Amazon Prime
[Fleabag]( began its life as a play written by [Phoebe Waller-Bridge]( but it gained an entirely new life when it was adapted into a hit TV show in 2016. It's been three long years since we've seen Waller-Bridge onscreen as the eponymous Fleabag, and the second season delivers on all the character growth promised in the first. Our protagonist finds herself embroiled in what from the outside seems like a deliciously juicy and inappropriate affair, but those who've been with her since Season 1 can see how differently she feels about this man. She's beginning to make choices based on what she wants instead of making them based on whatever keeps the pain away. This darkly funny dramedy is the way to go this weekend if you want to watch a woman start to come into her own.
KEEPING UP WITH THE JELLIES!
[The Jellies! is the sweetest thing on Adult Swim](
Sunday at Midnight/11c on Adult Swim
As [Loiter Squad]( fans have always known, [Tyler, the Creator]( is a multimedia king. The rapper returns to TV in animated form for [The Jellies!]( Season 2. A surprisingly sweet show for the notoriously edgy Adult Swim network, The Jellies! is about a young man who finds out he’s adopted by jellyfish and sets out to figure out who exactly he is. The edgy bit is that his adoptive family is completely dysfunctional. The sweet bit is that their love for each other is so ferocious, it makes you wonder who would ever want to leave that family.
A VERY GOOD BOY
[It’s Bruno is a love story between a man and his dog](
Now on Netflix
Solvan “Slick” Naim is just a rapper/actor/director/producer who loves his dog. So much in fact, that he made an eight-episode Netflix show all about the joy man’s best friend truly brings into the world. With episodes that are just 15 minutes each, this easy, breezy, extremely snackable show is the perfect binge for you and all your very good boys.
