I recently read an article by a journalist who theorized that many people in the United States are now in a state of "outrage fatigue." The scandalous behavior of the White House, the destructive policies and the torrent of tweets by Donald Trump are numbing many people. After all, the deluge of dishonor, hypocrisy and pernicious public policies can feel overwhelming. However, we cannot afford the luxury of becoming paralyzed by these attacks on the potential decency of our society and the promise of justice. We cannot afford to surrender to a national government that embodies white supremacy into its core policies. We cannot afford to become despairing of helping those people who are considered disposable by the Trump administration. Beyond the spectacle of Trump being ringmaster of a circus, hurtful policies and reactionary appointments are causing grave harm to real people. Every day, the United States and the world endure more degradation from the executive branch and Congress. At Truthout, you will not find "outrage fatigue." We resist injustice and attacks on progressive policies day in and day out. With [your help]( we report on and celebrate the people and movements who dare to defy the odious actions and hateful talk coming out of Washington, DC. We understand that each of us has our role to play in informed resistance. Please make sure that "outrage fatigue" does not triumph over social justice. Please make a donation today to Truthout to ensure that the outrage will continue. [Donate Now]( [Click here to make a donation]( (Truthout is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
