Now, that’s not one I use every day. In fact, I had to look it up. And the definition is: unhealthy and unwholesome. As in, “Scholastic books fairs push insalubrious content on America’s children.” What a great way to describe the ever-growing selection of Scholastic books featuring LGBTQIA+ and gender-transitioning storylines and critical race theory themes, just to name a few. Scholastic is sneaky about their agenda, burying inappropriate content amidst innocent book offerings like The Babysitters Club and Captain Underpants. Many of the books that Scholastic publishes or promotes in their book fairs and online catalogs include subject matter that should never be presented to children.
