This week's successes
We have one new winner and five prize updates for you this week... Elise let us know that she's won the 7-night trip to Madeira that we featured earlier this month. Cortesy of The Independent in conjunction with Jet2holidays and the Madeira tourist board, Elise will be spending a week at the Porto Mare Hotel on a half-board basis. Shamina got in touch to let us know she'd got on on her prize-winning trip to Haven Combe Martin in Hastings. "I finally won a giveaway on Facebook after about 7 years or more and nearly missed it as I wasn't tagged as a winner. I wanted to thank whoever tagged me on Facebook when they recognised my name. This was a Haven Advent win from Xmas and could only be taken off peak. How lucky was I with the off peak September weather? ... Growing up, we never went on holidays and being 2nd generation in the UK, we had no idea about caravan breaks. After my daughter was born, and soon after the increased use of social media, I went on my first break using a newspaper promotion. I found it a really fun but affordable way of having a break and since then been on a few more. I'm really grateful for this group and wanted to share to keep everyone motivated like how I am when I read of a win. Yes, it can take years but when you finally do, it's worth all those hours you've put in. It's not just luck. Kathryn updated us on her winning break in Lewinnick Lodge in Newquay: âThanks to whoever posted this competition! What a wonderful win! And it was our 28th wedding anniversary yesterday too!â Tayla has just returned from a glamping stay in Sidmouth, Devon, as well as her recent prize-winning trip to Amsterdam!: âIn the last two weeks, Iâve been lucky enough to go to Sidmouth to stay in this Glamping pod as part of 2 night competiton win. And also go to Amsterdam for 2 night trip, with breakfast, flights and transfers included. They even upgraded us to the executive suite which is normally worth over £400 a night! I absolutely love this hobby, as I even had a holiday win to Oman earlier in the year too! Just a reminder to everyone you have to be in it to win it!â Bev won a 5-day trip to Jersey and had this update for us: "Just back from a sunny 5 day break in Jersey. Door to door transport and half board at a lovely hotel. A huge thank you to whoever posted the Touromo competition." Finally, Karen just enjoyed a night away in Birmingham thanks to an Instagram competition. "Donât give up, I always used to say I couldnât win an argument." Congratulations to Elise, Shamina, Kathryn, Tayla, Bev, and Karen. You might be wondering how Travelscoop works. We think it's important that we're transparent about the value our service can bring you, but also the limitations of this email and our website. We're journalistic at heart, with the aim of helping you to save on travelling and holidays. We do this by seeking out great travel and holiday deals, tips and competitions. We do not offer any travel products or services ourselves - we signpost you to those that do via links. While we are careful to always cover reputable companies that are ABTA bonded, we're not perfect, so remember that you use this information at your own risk and we can't accept liability if things go wrong. So if we don't offer any travel products ourselves, how do we sustain the service? Many of our links are affiliated which means that if you purchase a product or service via these links, a small contribution may be made to Travelscoop. You shouldn't notice any difference, as these links don't impact the products at all. If we're unable to get a contribution from a company, we'll still include the link anyway - it's important to us that we cover the whole market. Lastly, do not construe the information contained in this email and on our website as financial advice. Always do your own research to ensure a product or service is right for you and your individual circumstances.
