That's because I've been away travelling through Italy and have had some very flakey internet connection! So this week there’s a couple of weeks’ worth to share… It was lovely to hear from 2 separate winners (Sharon and Susannah) of the Gaydio competition [we featured in June](. Sharon messaged: “YES, YES, YES! I finally got one!!!! Thank you soooo much for your Travelscoop roundup… I got a call from… Gaydio yesterday to say that I am one of the 8 lucky winners & I'm flying out to Thessaloniki with hubby next Thursday…” The full prize was a trip for 2 to EuroPride in Thessaloniki, Greece, including return BA flights and a 3-night hotel stay. It seems that Lucky Dan (our Facebook group’s most prolific winner) has passed some of his good luck onto his wife. She won the [GAME Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes comp]( that we included in the Sunday emails in May: “My lucky wife again! She won this super trip to Madeira with flights, car rental, 2 nights luxury hotel + 2 nights glamping, 4x4 tour, bird watching tour, horseback riding and sunrise trek. They have kindly agreed to let us take our baby so there may be some adaptation to the activities offered but it will all be amazing.” AMAZING! Sandra has won a 4-night holiday to Las Vegas with flights, hotel and £500 to spend with Radio X and Bally Casino: “Thank you so much… (I won) the global radio comp for the holiday to Las Vegas…! I can’t believe it, first win ever!” James was announced as the winner of a Tropicana competition. His prize is a trip to Belgium to create his own Tropicana juice. Very cool! Dani let us know that she was the winner of the Waterstones comp we [featured in early June]( to win a 2-night luxury Richmond hotel stay up to £500, day pass to Hampton Court Palace & maze + travel allowance up to £150. Deanna won a pair of UK lounge airport passes and airport fast-track with Hays Travel: “My second win since joining… last year. Not a holiday but a great prize to start a holiday off. Thank you…” Naomi got in touch to let us know she was one of the runners-up in the Premier Foods Group and Hasbro New York competition: “I recently won a competition! It was one of the runner up prizes for a trip to New York that was featured in the newsletter in May. My runner up prize was a Cluedo board game. It may not be a holiday, but it's my first win! And I didn't have the game Cluedo already ... I am on the FB group, but enter the newsletter competitions more often. Thank you for sending them every week! I'm extremely grateful.” Thank you for the kind words, Naomi! Some of you might recall that we also knew the overall winner of the same Hasbro New York competition - Kirsten - who we mentioned in the successes a few weeks ago. Lots of our Facebook group members have won runner-up prizes in the [TripAdvisor Australia Northern Territory comp]( and have been receiving their Northern Territory gift packs worth £80. Well done to Kelly, Jonathan, Lee, Katie, Jane, Greig, Kim and Michelle. At least 8 winners out of the 100 runner-up gift packs on offer isn’t bad at all! PRIZEWINNER UPDATES Christine has just returned from a 9-day cruise that she won with Greatest Hits Radio and Norwegian Cruise Line: “Sailing from Barcelona around the Mediterranean, stopping off at Cannes, Livorno for Pisa and Florence, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples, Messina Sicily, Katakolo for Olympia, Santorini, Mykonos and Athens. It was fabulous with temperatures reaching 37° - phew!! Good luck everyone with your travel comps…” Elaine got in touch to let us know how her weekend away at Trelay Holiday Park went: “The lodge was beautiful. Visited Looe, Polperro and even managed to visit a few locations from the programme “Beyond Paradise”. Weather wasn’t great but that didn’t spoil our weekend away. Plenty of cream teas and local cider, were consumed!” Sophie has just got back from Spain after winning a GoGalicia competition: “It was my first win so I was a bit apprehensive, especially when the owner of the villa contacted me and said the villa was damaged and so we couldn’t stay there after all. He was so kind though and paid for us to stay in another villa nearby and is also giving us a free week next year. He really couldn’t have been more generous! Thanks…!” Congratulations to Sharon, Susannah, Dan's wife, Sandra, James, Dani, Deanna, Naomi, and all the Northern Territory runner-ups! And thanks for the updates, Christine, Elaine, and Sophie. We think it's important that we're transparent about the value our service can bring you, but also the limitations of this email and our website. We're journalistic at heart, with the aim of helping you to save on travelling and holidays. We do this by seeking out great travel and holiday deals, tips and competitions. We do not offer any travel products or services ourselves - we signpost you to those that do via links. While we are careful to always cover reputable companies that are ABTA bonded, we're not perfect, so remember that you use this information at your own risk and we can't accept liability if things go wrong. So if we don't offer any travel products ourselves, how do we sustain the service? Many of our links are affiliated which means that if you purchase a product or service via these links, a small contribution may be made to Travelscoop. You shouldn't notice any difference, as these links don't impact the products at all. If we're unable to get a contribution from a company, we'll still include the link anyway - it's important to us that we cover the whole market. Lastly, do not construe the information contained in this email and on our website as financial advice. Always do your own research to ensure a product or service is right for you and your individual circumstances. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
