HP: AI will transform the PC industry

[JOIN OUR LIVE TRADING SESSION @ 6am PT / 9am ET]( [Shadow] Hello investor, Artificial intelligence is creating a newfound boom in several industries, and HP CEO Enrique Lores said that HP is redesigning the architecture of a PC that will enable new services for the customers. - “We think there is really an opportunity to create a new category of PCs that will drive significant refresh in the category,” Lores said. - ″[AI is] going to help us to redefine what a PC is, the experiences that customers will be able to get are going to be much different, and we are working with all the key software vendors, key silicon providers to redesign the architecture of a PC.” For example, Lores said HP is working on an AI-enabled PC that will let customers build spreadsheets and analyze data in record time. Meaning? No more of spending hours on inserting and analyzing figures into spreadsheets. AI can do them, along with a dialogue about its insights in seconds. These new models could be available as soon as 2024. - “I have been in this industry for many, many years.” Lores. “I have never seen an opportunity like this, to really drive innovation and drive new type of customer needs that we really think are going to be fundamental.” HP CEO Enrique Lores (Photo: CNBC) Inflation plummeted in Spain: We don’t talk much about foreign countries, but Spain’s recent inflation data showed a big promise with its inflation plunging to 2.9% in its recent reading. However, the bulk of the drop came from lower fuel prices. Food and non-alcoholic drink prices also fell. These are considered as volatile, so if we exclude these categories, the core inflation remained somewhat high at 6.1%. Eurozone inflation is expected to fall from 7% to 6.3% in May when the new data comes out on Thursday. As a reminder, the US Federal Reserve will meet on June 14-15. We will get the latest jobs report this Friday, and the central bank will watch for any signs of the labor market cooling down. Several Fed officials already indicated that they would rely on upcoming data, such as the jobs report, to decide whether they will go with another rate hike. Corporations bought a record 31.1 GW of clean energy through power purchase agreements (PPAs) in 2021 which was nearly a 24% growth from the previous year. Brookfield Renewable pays out fat dividends. It currently yields about 4.06%, which is high because the company is growing its cash flow rapidly. Many dividend stocks with this much of a dividend growth would trade with a lower yield. Why? Investors anticipate future dividend growth. But you can enjoy a 4% yield right now, and it will continue to expand over the years. That’s a rare scenario! Bottom line: Brookfield Renewable operates in the red-hot industry of renewable energy, and it offers a massive dividend yield of about 4.06%. This yield could only continue to grow because of its aggressive investments to grow its cash flow.
