? ? North Carolina’s Abortion Ban Becomes Law Despite Governor’s Veto Despite Democrat

North Carolina’s Abortion Ban Becomes Law Despite Governor’s Veto [FIGHT BACK >>]( Despite Democratic Governor Roy Cooper’s best efforts, North Carolina’s GOP-controlled legislature significantly restricted abortion care last week, lowering the cutoff for abortions from 20 to 12 weeks. This GOP power grab alters women’s health care in a state that had been a refuge for people seeking abortion care in the South. Virginia is now the only state in the South without significant pre-viability abortion restrictions. And what’s more, Gov. Glenn Youngkin has already promised to pursue significant restrictions on women’s freedom here in Virginia, even recently stating his support for a 15-week abortion ban. We need to remain vigilant. Women’s freedom to choose is under attack, but as long as I am the U.S. Senator from Virginia, I will fight to protect women’s ability to make their own health care decisions -- in Virginia and nationwide. I’ve introduced bipartisan legislation in the Senate to achieve this goal -- and I won’t stop fighting. But here’s the problem: Republican challengers vying to defeat me in 2024 have already entered the race. And they’ve promised to push for an end to reproductive freedom in Virginia and across the country. Republicans already successfully overturned Roe v. Wade. And we know exactly what they’ll do to reproductive freedom at the federal level if they win back the Senate and the White House next year. We can’t let that happen. So today, I’m asking for your support in my fight for re-election to the U.S. Senate. [Will you pitch in $25 or more to help me stand up for women’s reproductive rights?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE OTHER]( We can’t afford to let Republicans gain a foothold in Virginia -- the lone state in the South that continues to guarantee women’s freedom. [Please pitch in to help me fight back.]( Thanks for standing with me, Tim Kaine   Paid for by Kaine for Virginia Kaine for Virginia P.O.
