Hi {NAME}, I wish I had more willpower. I already have a good amount of willpower, but I wish I had

Hi {NAME}, I wish I had more willpower. I already have a good amount of willpower, but I wish I had more. Because I am still human and I only have so much willpower. Put a bunch of good in front of me for long enough and eventually I will cave and enjoy something. I have realized that we all have a limit. We can deplete our willpower in so many different ways, and if we can find ways to AVOID depleting willpower, we can really level up, especially through the holidays. 1. Reduce the constant exposure to temptation. I know it sounds simple. But the more exposed to temptation you are, the more you will deplete your willpower and you’ll be likely to give in. Instead, try to do things that replenish willpower. Go for a walk, take a nap, sauna, dip in the pool. 2. Occasionally be AROUND good food and enjoy it. If you have to constantly resist and neverr allow yourself a treat, you will continue to deplete willpower. I have found that letting myself have good, high quality meals (like steak and potatoes, etc), I do not feel deprived and I can keep going for longer. This is all about sustainability. 3. Proper sleep architecture. This is KEY. Imagine this. You have a gas tank that holds 10 gallons of willpower. You sleep average and it fills that willpower tank up 6-7 gallons. Sleep well… you fill it up to 10 gallons. This data has been demonstrated in multiple studies. When we are rested, we flat out have more willpower to abstain and it just is plain easier to abstain from food. What I do when I need to get a really good night sleep is use [CBD](. I know it’s kind of taboo for some people. But that’s kind of why I like it. A lot of times the stuff that people question is the stuff that actually works. I use Cured Nutrition’s NIGHT OIL because it is a CBD specially formulated for sleep architecture. [20% OFF HERE]( USING CODE THOMAS20 This means that it is designed to potentially improve your sleep without disrupting your circadian ryhtym or sleep cycles like you might experience with alcohol or another sedative. I feel rested and like my body (and brain) is fully ready to make the right decisions the next day. In fact, I have noticed that I eat about 200-300 calories less the day after I use CBD/CBN the night before. There’s something to it, and [Cured Nutrition]( is the only one (with the exception of some older products that you can no longer buy on the market) that actually does this for me. Use Code THOMAS20 They have another product called ZEN which is great for calming and relaxing before sleep as well, but the NIGHT OIL is the straight-up good stuff that I need. [Here’s the 20% link]( and Remember you have to use code THOMAS20 to get the discount Note I cannot talk about these products on YouTube because it’s against their community guidelines… must be because they actually work. 4. Don’t have bread at the dinner table. This is a simple one. It tanks your willpower when something is in your line of sight. Every moment that you have to abstain is decreasing your MPG of your willpower. Have the waiter bring carrot sticks or ask for cucumbers to dip in salsa at a Mexican restaurant. 5. Having crappy snacks in the pantry. The pantry is where sixpacks go to die. You know it. If we can eliminate the garbage in the pantry, the more stamina you wiill have to make decisions for the more important meals. Don’t blow it with a total snack-dinner of low quality food. 6. Stop doing workouts that are not fun. They don’t need to always be fun. They should sometimes be rough and miserable. But it’s the difference between depleting your willpower during your workout and snacking all day, or going into the gym or workout because you love it and then making great choices. Workouts shouldn’t be punishment, they should be movement that we love and enjoy. Even tough workouts, you learn to LOVE the pain for a reason. 7. Reduce your pain/soreness as much as possible. Being in pain or too sore can drain you. It’s fatiguing, plus studies show that it can change your entire perception of fatigue and tiredness… This directly translates into willpower. It dovetails nicely into what I just mentioned. Doing workouts that are FUN and energizing versus ones that tank your entire day. Try to workout a TAD lighter and easier and do it more often versus the opposite. This is also where some CBD can help. It can ease some of the pain and soreness and help restore your mental stamina that way. 8. Laslty, remove the barriers to movement. Set your clothes out ahead of tine. Get your pre workout and everything for the morning set the night before on autopilot. This way you’re not having "one more thing" to do in the morning while your trying to preserve your willpower. Trust me… This willpower is a finite resource and we deplete it all the time. Shift the focus to repleting it and filling that tank up as much as humanly possible. See you tomorrow!
