Hi {NAME}, I interviewed Dr. Hariri a few weeks back, Tony Robbins' longevity physician, a neurosurgeon and trauma specialist. He’s the one who helped introduce the use of stem cells to treat all sorts of human diseases. He highlighted four pillars of longevity that we can implement to maintain and improve our long-term health. These pillars are the key to a long, happy, healthy life. I’m talking about consistent energy, focus, and happiness. Let’s look into these four pillars : Pillar 1 : Mobility and Muscle Mass Muscle is the primary metabolic driver of the body during our lifetime. More than 50% of our wet body mass is muscle. It produces proteins and peptides that influence our brain health, cardiac function, immunity, etc. Muscle is crucial for longevity. I’m pretty confident we can agree on this. We need to build and maintain muscle. But here’s where things get interesting… Dr. Hariri mentioned a certain type of protein that actually suppresses the ability to make and grow muscle tissue. It’s called Myostatin. Once you reach maximum skeletal mass, it’s harmful to grow more muscle, as this can literally cause stress fractures in your bones. So it makes sense for your body to produce Myostatin. But the truth is, Myostatin can be controlled. You can lower this protein and allow your muscle to grow seemingly unchecked. Another protein called Follistatin limits and lowers the production of Myostatin. And one of the best sources of Follistatin are eggs. Yet another reason to be eating eggs on a consistent basis. Pillar 2 : Cognition Everyone seems to talk exclusively about muscle and fat loss when it comes to longevity. But what about cognition? Where does that play in? You could be in the best physical shape of your life, but what if you have a declining ability to communicate, calculate, and process things? You need to create an environment that enhances cognitive performance. The best way to do that is through fasting. If you follow my stuff, you already know how much I love fasting. Cognitive performance is enhanced when you go prolonged periods without food. Fasting gets you closer to ketosis, which improves muscular performance, clearer thinking, and more blood flow to the brain. The result?? Increased ability to calculate, communicate, and interact with your environment. Which is exactly what we’re after. 3rd Pillar: Grounding, Being in Nature, and Also [PEMF Mats]( I threw this one in because it’s changed the game for me lately. There’s a handful of studies that show, getting out into nature for 10-30 minutes per day can improve various health metrics such as resting heart rate, blood pressure, sleep, mood, etc. To go along with this, I’ve been experimenting with grounding. Grounding is getting outside into nature and allowing your body to make contact with the ground. So you’re barefoot, standing on the grass or dirt, etc. The idea behind this is that we spend less and less time connected with the earth. We walk on concrete sidewalks, wear rubber-soled shoes, and sleep on big cushy beds that don’t allow the earth’s natural electric current to pass through our bodies. [One study]( found that the earth’s negatively-charged electric current can reduce inflammation, cortisol, and improve sleep. Here’s the problem though… There’s days where I personally don’t have 30 minutes to walk around barefoot on grass or dirt. This is where grounding mats have been huge for me. I’ve been experimenting with them over the past few months, and have noticed some impressive results. [PEMF and Grounding mats]( allow you to receive the exact same benefits of having that negatively charged current pass through your body without having to be outside. No standing barefoot on grass for 30 minutes a day. They’re a complete life hack. ([here's the one I use at 25% off,]( but it's only through Labor Day) I think they’re one of the secret weapons to health and longevity, and that’s why I added it in as a bonus pillar. You can sit on them, stand on them, or do yoga on them. I sometimes work from my computer with my feet on the grounding mat. My stress levels have been noticeably lower, my sleep has been improving, I feel more calm and connected throughout the day. I know it sounds insane, but it’s no joke. It's an immediate state shift if I am feeling stressed out and then sit or lie down on a PEMF mat [Here’s the link for 25% Off the PEMF mat that I’ve been using]( I’ve done some extensive research, and I put my money behind Bon Charge. They know what they’re doing from a science and technology perspective and that's why they're one of the leading names in biohacking gear. Pillar 4 : Inflammation The more you age, the more inflammation occurs in your body (hence the phrase "inflammaging"). This means, if you can reduce inflammation, you can literally slow down aging. Now, let’s be clear here: Inflammation is an essential process. It’s responsible for targeting areas that need to be repaired in our body, and recruiting the cells to help us recover quicker. But keeping inflammation in check is crucial. Over time, cells in our body lose the ability to divide and start producing bad proteins and peptides. This causes slower recovery and faster aging. We need to get rid of these cells so our body can create new cells in their place. And how do you clean out these cells? Fasting and Exercise. Specifically prolonged fasts (48 hours). Going without food gives our body the opportunity to recycle and clean up any harmful cells. Find a way to build longer fasts into your lifestyle. This will give you more longevity benefits than you’ll be able to account for. Pillar 5 : Youthful Aesthetics Most people have a negative self-image, mainly with physical appearance. Anything you can do to improve that negative image pays tremendous dividends in terms of mental state, improving immune system function, exercise tolerance, and cognitive performance. Having a youthful, positive self-perception is a cheat code. It doesn’t matter how old you are : If you perceive yourself as youthful, you will literally live longer than if you perceive yourself as elderly. This is not to be confused with the unrealistic expectations set on social media. This is based on your own personal beliefs and goals. The goal is for YOU to feel good about YOURSELF. Only you can determine what that is. Don’t be unrealistic. Live healthy, be active, and be positive about the way you look and the progress you’re making. Stop being so hard on yourself. I hope these pillars helped. - Thomas [P.S. Here’s the link to the Bon Charge PEMF Mats]( Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Thomas DeLauer, PO Box 1120, Stateline, NV 89449, United States
