[] If you’re reading this, then you’re most likely well aware of the massive move down in the market on Monday on the heels of a global sell-off. Japan’s Nikkei tanked 12%, its worst day since Black Monday in 1987… We had a decent rebound this morning but I was worried it may not last, and things looked like it could all come crashing back down for a few minutes there… [] But soon after that 0.75% dip, the S&P 500 (SPY) rallied through the afternoon along with the Dow (DIA) and Nasdaq 100 (QQQ). The 100-day moving average for the SPY is $529.68, we got right to it and… Total rejection, falling over $4 in a matter of minutes… [] Price action had been very, very cautious all day, with small candles and no big, sudden moves, just slow and steady… Until that very moment. As of right now, we don’t have enough clarity to make any bold predictions about what’s next. We did, however, learn from Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon that the Fed will likely forgo an emergency rate cut, as some talking heads have been calling for, and that he does not see a U.S. recession on the horizon. He also said the recent correction “might be healthy,” and that we’re unlikely to get any cuts before September. I said this morning my “Premarket Must Watch”]( that the best course of action right now is to play it safe, keep your head and don’t panic. Panic selling like we saw Monday is often a good sign that the market has bottomed out.
