This week was full of twists and turns, from Trump's tweets about transgender armed forces to the Skinny Repeal, and if it's all been confusing to you or has made you want to delete your Twitter account and retreat into a world of puppy videos, you're not alone. This video round-up will both inform (how do Republicans *really* feel about Trump?) and pleasantly distract (hello, newborn kittens!) you so you can head to brunch ready to pull anything out in conversation like the well-rounded person you are. [The latest fashion trend]( sweeping the summer festival scene is not for the overly self-conscious and is hardly discreet. Women around the world are covering their boobs in glitter and hitting up summer shows topless. It's probably a nightmare to clean up at the end of the day (as almost anything involving glitter is), but it looks awesome, so I guess, go forth and sparkle. YOU DON'T SAY Republicans Are Rejecting Trump Left and Right Are you sitting down? Trump supporters are starting to have second thoughts about Donald Trump. More telling, House and Senate Republicans have started publicly pushing back, which [Keith Olbermann outlines in the latest episode]( of "The Resistance" for GQ. Not to spoil anything -- there are some choice on the record and off the record statements from leaders detailed here -- but this one was downright poetic: "[Trump] is like having a T.Rex wandering around. One day he's majestic, the next day he's eating you." This Jurassic Park sequel sucks. IT'S SIMPLE This Is How to Support Trans Kids This week, Donald Trump announced he'd reinstate a pointless ban on transgender people from serving "in any capacity" in the US armed forces. President Trump said that the United States military "cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail." For frame of reference of this "tremendous" burden -- there are 1.3 million people in the military. An estimated 1320 and 6630 of them are trans. Then again, [Trump's always had a hard time with numbers](. Trans people are not burdens. Trans people are human beings, and supporting them begins as early as childhood. [In this powerful video]( parents read affirmations to their trans kids and let them know that despite what the President and our government might say, they are loved and important.
