Chart your course for the coming week with this edition of the FogCutter! Here’s what we got on deck for you today: 💣 Netflix Hits Record High of $760 After Crushing Q3 Earnings 🚀 💣 CVS Replaces CEO Karen Lynch Amid Investor Pressure 😬 💣 Video: Master The Money Press Strategy 🤓 Markets At A Glance🔎 As of October 21, 2024, 1:00 PM MST Treasure Hunting Climate 📈 Last week, we saw the markets take a little bit of a pause, but still notch an impressive 6th straight week of gains. Just as we have pointed out in the past, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq continue to hold their technical uptrends, but the bulls may be pausing to catch their breath here. A slight break and some profit taking was most likely needed after the run that the bulls made in the first half of October. This type of pause/profit taking is common after several straight weeks of new all-time highs. With earnings season upon us, some of the large companies reporting will continue to drive the narrative. So far, earnings season has been mostly upbeat. We've seen 83.1% of companies report an "earnings beat" so far. With the election only two weeks away we may see the markets exercise some caution heading into November 5th as well. All to say, we are enjoying the bullish trend while understanding the earnings/election drama can always rattle investor's confidence in the blink of an eye. Happy trading! View From The Crow's Nest 👀 Netflix Hits Record High of $760 After Crushing Q3 Earnings 🚀 Netflix (NFLX) shares surged over 10% on Friday to a record $760 after beating Q3 EPS and revenue estimates.
