Hey Penny Hoarders,
If you havenât seen âbaby Yodaâ yet â wait, what are we saying?! Youâve definitely seen baby Yoda somewhere on the internet. You canât scroll social media for more than a minute without stumbling across a baby Yoda meme. (And if you actually havenât seen baby Yoda yet, do yourself a favor and pull up a Google search when youâre done here. Itâs, uh, pretty dang cute.) Today, weâre talking about something way less cute (zombie debt) and a new way you can start making extra cash.

Haunted by Zombie Debt You Donât Even Owe? Hereâs How to Get Rid of It
Undead debts bringing you down? Zombie debt is debt thatâs so old you canât be sued to pay it â but debt collectors buy up the debt and then try to trick or convince you to make a payment on it, which restarts the clock on the debt, allowing them to start hounding you again (hence the âzombieâpart). If scavenger debt collectors are terrorizing you, take this three-step approach to bury your zombie debt permanently.

Help People, Make Money
When it comes to making money, youâve tried just about everything: Youâve walked countless dogs, delivered burritos to couch potatoes all over town and even done your fair share of DIYing. Now, youâre on the hunt for a new way to make extra cash.
How about taking part in a clinical research study? (Bonus: Taking part in these studies is a great way to help find treatments for common illnesses!)
We suggest starting with a contract research organization called Parexel, which has been testing new medications and devices since 1982. It conducts clinical trials in [Baltimore]( and [Los Angeles]( â and itâs willing to pay you up to $12,000 per study.
You donât necessarily have to have an illness to participate in one of these studies; the first phases of Parexel studies typically focus on healthy volunteers, and they tend to pay more. As a general rule of thumb, Parexel is looking for participants between the ages of 18 and 55 who have a body mass index (BMI) of 32 or less. (For healthy volunteers, Parexel is looking for people in overall good health, who are not diagnosed with any major medical conditions and donât consistently require prescription medications.) You can live anywhere in the U.S. as long as you are able to travel to either Baltimore or Los Angeles
To get started, go to Parexelâs website and scroll through its available studies. Take note of each studyâs dates, requirements and compensation, and, if you find a match, apply for the study online by filling out some basic information. If you donât find a match? Join Parexelâs mailing list, and itâll email you when new trials become available.
So if youâre ready to start getting paid for helping people, you can browse the available studies in [Baltimore here]( and [Los Angeles here](.
