Oh boy, Joy Behar is sweating over polls again, and honestly, who's surprised? Every time the numbers start favoring Trump, it's like a fire alarm goes off on "The View." She's out there wringing her hands, telling Democrats not to trust the polls while simultaneously panicking about the very same numbers. Joy, you can't have it both ways. Either the polls matter, or they don't. But when they show Trump gaining traction, well, suddenly, we're supposed to dismiss them as part of some nefarious media scheme. "I'm starting to worry about the polls because I see a lot of the media saying that [former President Trump is] leading, and everybody's getting nervous and all that," Behar said on Wednesday's show. "Basically, it's so disheartening for Democrats and people who are leaning towards Kamala [Harris] to say, 'Well, what's the point?' Don't buy into that," Behar instructed her viewers. Behar's meltdown is just the latest in a long string of nervous Democratic reactions as we inch closer to Election Day. She's not wrong, though - the polls aren't looking great for her side. Recent surveys have shown that this race is practically tied, with Trump gaining momentum. An NBC poll shows that the former president is neck and neck with Harris at 48%, And that lead Harris had just last month? Yeah, it's evaporating fast, with ABC and CBS showing her slipping in the numbers. But Behar's big takeaway is, "Don't buy into it!" Sure, because if you just close your eyes and plug your ears, the facts don't count, right? Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg, in her usual laid-back way, brushes it off like the polls are nothing but a distraction. She's got more faith in the American public than anyone else at the table. Apparently, we're all supposed to believe voters will come to their senses and vote the "right" way. Good luck with that, Whoopi. The fact that millions of Americans still support Trump is not some great mystery. It's called dissatisfaction with the current administration, high inflation, rising crime, and a border crisis that's been ignored for far too long. "We need to have a lot more confidence in the American public," she said. "Because we talk to people like they're dumb. Y'all see what's going on. You know what you have to do. You have to make a decision. Then you go in, and you pull the lever, and you and God will know what you've done. That's how that works." Alyssa Farah Griffin, the 'token conservative' on the show, brought a little reality check to the table by acknowledging that, yes, many Americans do still support Trump. Shocker, right? But it's something that Behar and company just can't seem to wrap their heads around. They act like every Trump voter is living in an alternate reality instead of acknowledging that people are tired of the same old broken promises from Democrats. Joy Behar admits she is worried that recent polls are looking good for Donald Trump [@DailyCaller]( [pic.twitter.com/P4GCh7kvoR]( - Nicole Silverio (@NicoleMSilverio) [October 16, 2024]( And let's talk about Trump's growing support among Black male voters. It's got the left baffled. Even Obama had to jump in, basically telling Black men they need to get in line and support Harris. But people are smarter than they're given credit for. They don't need lectures from political elites; they need real solutions to the problems they face. So, while [Behar's]( busy waving the panic flag, the rest of us are watching Trump make serious gains, not just in the polls but with voters who feel left behind. The truth is, no amount of hand-wringing on "The View" is going to change the fact that this election is far from over.
