The move represents a final attempt at reaching consensus on the appointment of a caretaker premier before the general election. 2. Ind vs WI, 5th ODI Fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill helped India beat West Indies by nine wickets in the fourth T20I played at Lauderhill, Florida on Saturday. BJP President J P Nadda’s three-day West Bengal visit Nadda will hold meetings with all elected representatives of the party -- MPs, MLAs, and zilla parishad members -- from the state. The BJP president’s visit to West Bengal comes at a time when the party’s state unit has been plagued by internal squabbles and defections since the 2021 assembly election. 5. Perseid meteor shower to peak today One of the brightest meteor showers every year, the Perseids, is set to peak on August 13 and August 14. During the peak, you might see up to 100 meteors per hour.
