Maharashtra political turmoil continues Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Shiv Sena strongman Eknath Shinde plunged the ruling alliance in the state into a political crisis on Tuesday as he rebelled against his party and landed in a Surat hotel along with some Sena MLAs, putting a huge question mark on the stability of the two-and-a-half-years old MVA dispensation. Mr. Shinde is now reportedly in Assam. 2. Nepal’s airlines association threatens to halt flights from Wednesday Nepal’s private airlines operators threatened to halt all regular flights beginning Wednesday if the government fails to address their five-point demand and the aviation regulator does not roll back its decisions made on Sunday. During a press conference organised in Kathmandu, the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), announced plans to suspend regular operation of all flights, asking the government to withdraw all the fee hikes made recently including on landing, parking, passenger service, and navigation. 3. All Odisha Cong MLAs called to New Delhi for meeting All nine Congress MLAs from Odisha have been asked to reach the national capital to attend a meeting with party seniors on Wednesday. The MLAs will reach Delhi by Tuesday night, senior Congress leader Taraprasad Bahinipati said. 4. China is hosting the summit in its capacity as its chair of the grouping for the current year. Before the summit, Mr. Modi will participate, by way of a recorded keynote speech, in the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum on Wednesday, the MEA said. 5.
