Space Jam 2 isn't a meme anymore. [It's really happening]( and Ryan Coogler is really directing it and Terance Nance is really writing the screenplay. Kinda funny that people have rewritten history so that the original is a good movie worthy of a reboot and not just an expensive commercial with a truly insane plot. But I'm being cynical, the team for the new one is great and LeBron is actually a good performer so maybe this will be my favorite movie of all time. To quote a basketball player who will most likely not be in this movie, "Anything is possible!!!!" - If you've been paying any attention at all you've noticed that DMV hip-hop is blowing up right now. A lot of that is thanks to [Cheecho]( the producer behind tracks for Q Da Fool, Lil Dude, Goonew, and more. For the latest Beat Construction article we talked to him about his go-go influences, going from engineer to producer, and how it feels to get national attention. - Music just keeps coming out forever and ever, huh? You don't have to listen to all of it, but here are [10 songs]( that we think you should be listening to right now. - [Lil Berete]( the 17-year-old rapper from Toronto, is our latest GEN F subject. He just dropped his debut mixtape and we're really loving it. One of our writers tagged along while he was doing a little hometown promo and turned out this really great piece on the charismatic young star. - Maroon 5 is doing [the halftime show]( at the Superbowl, which... whatever. People are upset about this but you can't really deny that Maroon 5 has bangers! - If you have even a passing interest in hardcore music, you better get your ass to the hate5six YouTube channel immediately. For years and years, one guy has been recording thousands of videos of pretty much every hardcore band you can think of. His name is Sunny Singh, and he's so goddamn cool. We did [a nice long Q&A]( about the project with him that you should read. - Bbymutha came through to play Would You Rather and she did not disappoint. Check that out below.
