"He'll go in them every day while they're there.” "He'll go in them every day while they're there.” [View in browser]( June 29, 2020 *Header 728x90 [] Dog's Favorite Thing In The World Is Dancing In Puddles Photo Credit: Facebook/Stevie the Wonder Dog When Stevie first came to Jane Cornelius’ home for a meet and greet to see if her family would be a good fit to adopt him, he discovered a puddle out in the backyard — and the rest was history. “We had a large puddle in the backyard and as Stevie explored the backyard he eventually made his way over and found the puddle and just went nuts,” Cornelius told The Dodo. “He was splashing and so excited. So that was it. I gave him a bath day one and he never left.” Seeing his joy for life, Stevie’s new family fell in love with him immediately, and they admire his positive attitude despite how he often has to work a bit harder at things. Photo Credit: Facebook/Stevie the Wonder Dog Stevie has cerebellar hypoplasia, and a lot of movements and actions are more challenging for him than a typical dog. He doesn’t let that stand in his way, though, especially when something brings him so much joy. “Stevie is just Stevie,” Cornelius said. “He acts like a typical Lab and I don't think he knows any differently. However, he does know how to problem solve and adjust to be able to do what he wants when it is challenging.” For some reason, puddles bring Stevie more joy than almost anything else in the world. He’s been obsessed with them ever since he discovered his first one in the backyard, and now whenever he sees one, he can’t help but dance for joy. “When we get a good first rain of the spring, he'll go in them every day while they're there,” Cornelius said. “Then, depending on how much it rains and how long they're there, sometimes he'll skip a day or two before going in again. He probably gets tired of the baths.” Photo Credit: Facebook/Stevie the Wonder Dog Stevie’s excited little dance whenever he sees a puddle is so adorable, and watching him splash around without a care in the world brings so much happiness to everyone who sees him. Stevie definitely has some challenges in life, but he’s never let any of them get in the way of doing the things he loves, and his family wouldn’t have him any other way. “Stevie brings so much joy to us, just by being Stevie,” Cornelius said.
